Camby is injury prone, but when he is healthy he makes a good rounder and shot blocker. Camby and Talyor have the same contract, except Camby's is two years shorter. JVG has had success with Camby, would you do this trade? I think I would, just to get the team alittle change. What do you think? If he could stay healthy Camby would make a good PF for the Rockets or if Griffin turns things around, the Rockets would have some nice back up in Cato and Camby.

I was goint to say no until you pointed out that Camby's contract will expire 2 years sooner than Taylor's. Now, I'm not sure.

Hmm....well looking at STATS...which to some dont' mean much..Camby is better. He can block shots and he can rebound. That's what we need. But....he is injury prone like you said. So that's not good...his offense isn't that good either. And I think we still need the offense that Mo gives us...hmm...Camby is 3 years older. But his contract expires 2 years earlier. I don't know why Denver would want Mo Taylor though...another Wolverine to replace Juwan Howard? I would do it...

    I'd rather have HILARIO though.

I'd do it in a heartbeat if Camby wasn't so injury prone. MoT was looking like a star before he suffered that major injury and had to have surgery. But I think he lost a lot of athleticism with it. In any case, I'd still probably take the risk because Camby still seems to be pretty athletic and effective despite all his injuries.

Well I think Dever might do it because with Howard gone, they need someone they can count on. Camby might give them 30 games next year or 82 who knows? But Taylor would do great on Denver, his stats would improve because he would be a bigger part of the team.

Tshkivilis (spelling? who knows?) is scheduled to play the 4 for Denver next season. He'll need vet help. Howard could be resigned for more than the MCE - maybe.

I don't think Howard is staying in Denver. ANd I didn't know Skita played the 4? I thought he was a 3?

I've been a big Camby fan, too bad he's injury prone. But I would do this trade just for the potential for improvement.

I think MoT's well on his way to recovery, vs. Camby who's just between injuries right now.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Camby also is not happy playing in Denver. He whined quite a bit.

Mo has been somewhat injury prone himself, no?

I'd do it in a heartbeat. Granted, Camby doesn't have the offensive skills of Mo, but our interior defense would improve somewhat with Camby. Camby, EG, and Yao swatting shots would go a long way in improving our defense.

An important point to mention is that there is no doubt that he would play power forward in Houston, while in NY and in Denver, he often times was needed to play center, which is not suited very well for (and resulted in him getting beaten up a lot). Barring injuries, it could be a good idea to get Camby, but he is so injury prone that it would really take a lot to make a deal like that.

I would rather have Kurt Thomas from the Knicks....maybe something can be worked out in regards to the compensation that they have coming anyway.

Wouldn't do it... To say that Camby is injury prone is a huge understatement... he is an injury waiting to happen. He must have done something to piss off the basketball gods in a previous life. He was out b/c of a bad hip for the first half of last season. Then, in his first game back off the DL, make that first 5 minutes of his first game back, he sprains his ankle and goes out for another 3 weeks. First 5 minutes for crying out loud!

Although Mo-T rebounds like a midget with heavy boots on, he is the only other true low post threat besides Yao that we have. Eddie Griffin fills the role of active rebounder and shot blocker on this team.

No WAY Skita moves to the 4 spot! He would get run over. He is rail thin. He is a 3 all the way.

Haha yeah! He isn't that good to me...needs time...like Griffin!

Well I don't think Howard is going back. He doesn't want to lose 70 games anymore. He can really help one of the top teams like the Lakers or Mavs.

I don't think they want Mo Taylor....or maybe they do.

And maybe Skita moves to the 4......because Carmelo Anthony!

Marcus Camby...Nene Hilario.....jeez...a lot of guys.

    I'd rather get Kurt Thomas.

Camby is injured too often to help us out.The last thing we need are injured players on the roster.Rice was ineffective for the 1st half of the season and we were lucky that we got Posey for KT.
Taylor is a poor rebounder, avoids physical play but he did show that he could score in the low post and rotated out on defense fairly well at times. If Griffin had been a better player I would look to trade Mo for a combo guard like Brent Barry or try to pick up PJ Brown.

    no way.

motay is a better power forward than marcus "toothpick" camby. toothpick splinters way too easily; and even though motay is not a good rebounder, he does give us a consistent post presence outside of yao ming. motay is also the best midrange jump shooter on the team.
