    I have a different take:

    The two guys that I blame most for this predicament are:

    Howard and Harden

    1. They looked like they were fighting over how the offense should flow in the playoffs. But at least Howard showed up.

    2. Harden did not show any leadership during the playoffs and does not play defense.

    3. Just like LBJ said that he wanted Troy Daniel's--"THEY" are very closely watching our stars in crunch time and asking themselves if these are guys I want to give up money to go to war with.

    4. Also, most you youngsters will dismiss this, but with Howard's 10 baby mama's and childish attitude and Hardens off the court sideshow--it turns off certain FA's wife's. I am sure this was one big factor for Bosh's wife to turn Bosh away from Houston. Melo, Bosh, LBJ(if he were to consider H-Town at all) all have "outwardly" stable relationships and their wife's were wondering who they would hang out with in H-town and what type of influence these guys would be on their guy. Love looks all business to me also.

    5. Nothing wrong with having fun, but it should be a secondary trait.

    Just my 5 cents take on this horrible nightmare of a free agency.

    Morey wheeled and dealed the Rockets into a lessor team. Howard has to be scratching his head.

    What's funny to me is that almost everyone who is quick to bash Morey for not overpaying Parsons doesn't give him credit for discovering Parsons as a steal in the first place. Assets can get overvalued - it's up to the professionals to separate emotion from logic and pass when it doesn't make sense anymore. Ariza will prove himself to be an upgrade over Parsons, especially on D. Just wait and see.

    Oh yeah, and other than that, we lost a back-up PG and back-up C. How are we ever going to find two more people who can log 10 to 15 minutes per game?

    Value = Parsons for $964,750 in 2014-15
    Stupidity = Declining that Team Option

    Value = Dragic for $7.5M/year per year
    Stupidity = Telling Dragic to pound sand for wanting a player option, and signing a worse player, Jeremy Lin for $8.3M/year average with a $15M balloon year, creating the necessity to bundle a first round draft choice just to get rid of him
