I am completely against this offseason, but frankly it was so bad that it would be hard for ANY Rockets fan to sugarcoat it otherwise. Oof.

First let Chandler Parsons out of his contract a year early, and now thisss??? Morey MUST GO!!! FIRE HIM, FIREEEEE!!!!

 

If they don't spend their money like they said they would, they are basically stabbing the fan base in our faces and laughing all the way to the bank. We got bamboozled. It's not a coincidence that the best route for a championship in their opinion is also the cheapest route.

 

JR, I think Les should laugh less and focus on really bringing players over but Parsons contract was toxic.

It is tough to get over that Winning Now probably won't happen, even with Parsons we are still not Top 3 in the West automatically.

why u think lex would fire him. all of that just a show they work together to keep sucking blind HOU fanboys money in their pocket, and morey did it very well. worst playoff record in the century but no.4 on profit in the league, never go above luxury, and they already told their real thoughts several times: it's a business.

That's just crazy talk.

Going from Parsons to Ariza is very nearly a lateral move.

Give Lins minutes to guys like Johnson and Daniels and I think you lose very little if anything given what we asked of Lin.

Asik now he is someone I think we will miss, but he played so little for us anyway during the season and fail to see this massive drop off.

We certainly didn't get better or atleast if appears we haven't so far, but we will be in the playoffs and I wouldn't be shocked if we found ourself as the 4 seed again.

 

To all of those who are crying that we made somewhat lateral moves and are blaming the Owner/FO, shame on you. All offseason the Rockets were swinging for the big time free agents (Lowry/Bosh/Melo/Lebron). It didn't work out but we are still in place to make big moves going forward. Bosh was all of an hour away from signing with Houston until the Heat decided they were going to offer way too much for Bosh. You know how teams become terrible/mediocre? They overpay for players on this "win now" mode. Jordnnnn makes a great point that we should still stay around 4-5th seed next year since Lin and Asik didn't contribute much over the regular season. Lets all take a breath and shut our computers and enjoy some summer league/the rest of the summer. See you all next year!
