    Very interesting. This is the scenario Bima discussed. So we stay above the cap, keep the Lin TPE, MLE and BAE.

    Without matching, Parsons' caphold doesn't apply. We're at a team salary of $45,711,600. I wonder what the details of the trade are. Maybe we're using the Lin TPE. How much are the other exceptions' capholds?

    Also, since we are using Lin's TPE, we're at about 53 mill. MLE is about 5 mil which puts us at 58 mil. What other exceptions do we have? Assuming Asik's TPE, that also puts us at 66 mil. Not quite LT.. but close if we use the other exceptions.

    morey just said the rockets don't have a championship team. would a 8 mil player that another team wants to dump turn this club into one?

    Technically the Rockets still have Asik since the trade to New Orleans isn't complete.

    if we traded lin officially yesterday, wouldn't that have dropped us under the cap? in other words, if we are under the cap and had to forfeit the MLE, BAE and lin TPE, why would this benefit us at all?
