Hopefully we keep Lin and Asik and repackage them for Rondo + Anderson/Young/Ilyasova

Or go for Smith! Josh Smith would make me feels better, I don't give a damn what you guys think about him.

Rockets have already agreed to trade Jeremy Lin to Lakers. That deal seen as done. @wojyahoonba first to report Miami salvages Bosh

They're probably thinking he'll get more play time even though the team would suck.

More play time would give better stats which would equal better contract after the year is out. (ala Jody Meeks or Avery Bradley etc)

Can we untrade this guy? No need to give up the picks now.

**** man. Asik, Motiejunas, Casspi, Powell could still land us Josh Smith.

We can sign a lets say Chalmers and Hill with out cap space, then trade Asik, Casspi and Powell in a 3 team trade that would net us Smith.

    Chalmers/Beverley
    Harden/Daniels
    Parsons/Garcia
    Smith/Jones
    Howard/Hill

We can still improve our roster...

They agreed because they needed room for Bosh. And previously agreed to send him to Philly.

I dont think you want to give away draft pick if you dont need cap space. Keep Lin or cut him.

Lin trade takes away from our flexibility - can no longer stay over cap, wait for possible future deal, and use MLE/BAE, as well as that massive TE we would have gotten from the Asik deal. We will have ~16 million-17 million in cap space, and we have to use it NOW.

The window to improve the roster is still very, very short, and look for Morey to make some desperate pitches to the likes of Deng and Ariza. And yes, we still *MUST* match on Chandler if we are to be competitive at all next year.

    Stay in tuned...

could houston legally back out of this trade? Or the Asik trade?

What would be the consequences? Besides two insanely disgruntled players.
