    The accepted premise is that you build around a star PF or PG, but finding quality, multi-tooled small forwards is hard right now in the league. What are there, like ten right now? They're just as rare as lane-controlling Centers. Bite the bullet and hope to find another backup PF later.

    Houston needs Terrance Jones off the bench. A 7-deep lineup of Howard, Bosh, Parsons, Harden, Beverly, Jones, and Daniels looks pretty good, plus a couple more veteran pieces.

    the answer is NO. Parsons is not worth 15 mil and now we have no Bosh to make a contending run. Save the cap space and use it on a real star at the deadline or next offseason. Keep Jones, his value will increase dramatically next year as he continues to improve.
