so basically, you've been using the freakin CIA as your main source for all this????? if you're believing everything they're saying, then you have officially lost all credibility. it's the CIA, man. since when have they been considered even a remotely honest government agency? c'mon man, you can do better than that (i think).

BTW..... you know there is absolutely nothing wrong w/ questioning what your government is doing, right? this entire "venture" has so far cost 1000's of lives, billions-upon-billions of dollars (not even counting the reconstruction), and all the while you sit there contently because you're a Republican (just taking a guess). seriously, for every article you post supporting your claims, there are about 10 others that get posted completely negating it. do the math. not everyone out there is out to discredit or bash this administration - they just don't like getting lied to (whether it's the president or not).

I guess its obvious you didn't read it too closely; you're bashing the wrong source:

IF you're interested, Judith Miller was the Times reporter who caught flack from media critics for too quickly trumpeting WMD finds that turned out to be false alarms.

But hey, its all water under the bridge, I mean, it's a far cry from "absolutely nothing", but 2 out 3 groups of weapons analysts can't be wrong, right?

    TOUCHE, MadMax.

I hope we find the smoking gun, and all the people on this board have to go into hiding for ignoring what is so obvious to the majority of us.

No, I mean anyone that looks at these labs and knows Saddams history, yet chooses to believe that he was perfectly ok to continue on as leader of that country.

Continue on killing, maiming and torturing his own people.

I applaud Bush and Blair for having the nutsack to stand up to backstabbers like Chirac & Putin, and doing what is right for the world.

Good for US, and if by US you don't like it, that is ok, you are still one of US, and will get branded as such when you are traveling abroad.

    :)

Does the fact that a man has been known to use guns make the shiney object in his hand a gun? Does the fact that a man has been known to use cocaine mean that his sniffle is not a cold? Evidence and possible inference are not synonomous, especially when A) They are not used to justify the material expense of a trial, but the human expencse of a war,B) subject to debate among the prosecutors, and C) the best we have come up with.

    MacBeth,

A person's past actions speak volumes about their future endeavors.

You can not honestly believe that Saddam had somehow repented and was no longer going to torture his people?

We can argue in circles all you want, but I simply believe that he was a bad guy, and he had to go....good for the USA and Britain for taking him out.

Ok...so then why did Bush not trust that argument itself? One of the evils of Saddam, am I right, is that he repressed the wuill of the people, right? But it's ok to do so if you think that you're right?

Bush is supposed to represent the will of the people, as approved by the reflection of same in the Houses...and in order to gain said approval he manipulated and over-'emphasised' certain 'facts' and aspects of the argument...and you are now saying it's ok because...get this...among other things Saddam was a dictator? Dictators dictate...Bush dictated to the rest of the world, and manipulated his own people...Saddm is bloodier, but they each represent abandonments of the principle of responsible government.

The difference is that we can VOTE Bush out if we don't like his policies.

Saddam could not be voted out.

I can't believe you are comparing Bush to Saddam, talk about a stretch.

Re: your first point: that's why we have a better system than Iraq...if, contrary to your advice, we examine this situation and ones like it rather than think, what was it you said " War is over. We won. Move on, nothing to see here." It is NOT reason to justify invasion...tell me, DD, would you give liscence to every nation on earth to invade every other nation it deems has a lesser system? Could, say Iceland ( which is much more representative than we are) justify invading the US if they had the means? Or does it, as I have said from Day One, come down to Might = Right?

Your second point...The standard " " I can't beleive you are comparing..." yadda yadda avoidance of issues...please. You forgot the

MacBeth...this is why, the other day, I said I've grown tired of this argument. Back and forth...back and forth..back and forth. It's been like that for about 7-8 months now. It's useless. It devolves into, "well you're arguing this way, and that's bad." "yeah..but you said this, and that's bad."

The only thing I feel I should respond to in this thread is the comment by SWTsig - I am not a Republican, never have been, I didn't vote for Bush, I do not believe that Bush lied (there is still no proof), and any idiot can see that those trailers are not what the Iraqis say they are.

Aside from that, any response I give to anything else would be beyond redundant. Not to mention pointless.

Any idiot, save the group of senior government weapons and intelligence analysts who felt otherwise.

zzhiggins, I'd like to complement you on the fine work you have done in this thread. Based on your previous style of posting, I didn't realize you had this high level of wit and reasoning at your disposal. Your shaming of Batman was a thing of beauty.

    Batman, you have been

Ah yes, selectively picking and choosing which bits of information are fact and which aren't....You probably have enough independnt expertise in biological weapons and reporting and analysis thereof to do so, no?

Dude. Whatever. I just didn't think it merited response. His last post to me before that one was about how I'm right 1% of the time. Pretty heady stuff. Right up there with nanny nanny boo boo stick your head in dog doo. This is what you 'complement' (learn to spell by the way, since we're being childish) someone on? This is what you call 'fine work'? Stick to numbers, baby doll. They're easier to manipulate. I shouldn't be surprised. Apparently the American education system's been lacking quite a long time. zzhiggins is an old man and you're a child and yet you both share the same simple minded pleasures. I can hear you now... "Nuh UUUUNNNNHHH!!!!" "I know you are but what am I????" Don't expect a response to every single stupid thing you guys say. I have plenty of time, but not for that. I'm out of town for a week starting in the morning, by the way. Yeah, I'm going to NY. Typical libarul, rite? Git a rowp. Don't imagine a victory. I'll be back. Losers.
