Tim Floyd was once coach at the University of New Orleans and was very popular there. He is an incredibly nice guy, in addition to being a good X's and O's guys.

I will defer to the greater basketball minds here as to his abilities, but it would great to see him succeed in NO.

Eddie Griffin and Mo Taylor are self explanatory.

Cuttino continued to take bad shots and whine to the refs.

Steve got into a shouting match with Larry when he got taken out, if I am not mistaken.

Posey is about the only guy who showed consistent hustle and determination.

Floyd desperately needed another chance in the NBA. It's not fun being labeled as having the worst winning percentage as a coach in NBA history.

If the Hornets want to give Floyd a chance, and they are probably paying him peanuts, then let them. Floyd is going into a bad situation considering the Hornet players resent the owners for firing Silas. It will be interesting how Floyd will be measured and respected by the players.

My guess is the Hornets will not make the playoffs next season and even if they do they will lose in the first round.

Hornets owners are horrrrrrrible. Someone kill them.

edit : the word "kill" is not intended to be taken literally. Financial ruin is acceptable substitute.

Right. However, this team is loaded -- at the moment. Will they retain PJ or let him walk? Will they plug any holes? Will the team respond to a different coach? Will the city in Year II give a hoot?

He can get another coaching job after having the worse 3 or 4 yr stretch in the history of basketball, but Jim Cleamons is still a assistant under jackson.
