Re: Kobe. As someone who has seen the vast majority of his games, he is not quite the ball hog that Laker haters believe. He knows how to play within an offense and knows how to make the right basketball play. He calls his own number late in the shot clock, but that is no different than any other scorer.

Kobe fan obviously. Takes more shots than almost anyone in basketball and has one of the highest usage rates in the game.
I really don't understand a lot of the responses in this thread, except that there are more LOHs than LOFs in Clutchfans. But to the trade, it makes a LOT OF SENSE for both the Rockets and Lakers. The Lakers would start Lin, Nash mentor him (no one better), they already have more than enough money and will make more with the asian population there, they could use another young prospect or any pick Houston can give. We can move Lin to them for probably less than we can to anyone else, so that's our benefit. The Lakers could also then try to sign either Ariza or Deng with bringing Pau back then to have a decent team to prepare for 2015 and still have cap space if I am not mistaken, or at least trade pieces. I think this is the best move for both teams. I think Morey prefers to sign Bosh outright verses a S&T with Miami it seems; or maybe Miami is not even considering discussing a S&T for Bosh and would rather just let him walk for nothing if they can't resign him themselves.
If MARSHON BROOKS can thrive in LA then Lin can thrive in LA. Hell, I would be surprised to see something like 17/6 from him next season with our without Kobe.
I respect Wade a lot. If we can get a high 2nd round pick for Lin from the Lakers, it wil be good for us.
