oops, accidentally voted for parsons. Bosh is clearly the superior player and fills a massive hole. The only issue is that our PF hole would just become a SF hole moving forward with Bosh, but I'm sure we could find minimum/cheap 3&D SFs to come fill that role and keep Covington/Garcia/Casspi (ugh) off the bench.

I am not sure what was false, but I knew when I posted this that it might not be a popular opinion - figured it was worth a talk though.

What was false? Is Bosh's number too high? I was mostly sure about it, but didn't bother to look it up exactly.

He's probably referring to Bosh's number. It should be about 10m less.

Yea around $86-$88... but I would rather have Parsons and sign Bledsoe or Isaiah Thomas and run it back with that. Maybe get a cheap big too like Hill. I think it's more important to get a point guard than power forward.

I'm sure Bosh would be a good fit though, but I don't think he's going to do extremely that much better defensively than TJ and D-Mo against the power forwards in the west and he would have the same role here offensively that he had in Miami giving 15 points a game... So it may not be worth it to lose Parsons for him.

Parson is a good player, but for the Rockets, IMO he isn't even the third most important player. Despite Parson's good offensive numbers, I think Beverley has more impact on the Rockets success. The Rockets with Harden and Howard are a great offensive team, unfortunately defensively they are just barely above average during the season and terrible in the playoffs.

Replacing TJones with Bosh = a major defensive and offensive improvement. Bosh is one of the best pick and roll big defenders in the league. He is quick & long enough to defend stretch fours yet also able to ably defend big pfs like Duncan, Aldridge, West, Griffin, Randolph & Love etc. Asides from being physically capable, Bosh is also one of the best interior defenders in terms of where to be, rotations and help defense.

Replacing Parson with even an offensively challenge player like Thabo Sefalosa would still improve the Rockets overall, simply because of the improvement in perimeter defense, which is the biggest problem the rockets have IMO. I've know some like to reference Parsons ability to play defense in his rookie year, but not only was that two seasons ago, its quality was also greatly exaggerated.

Getting a 3 and D guy, like PJTucker, Thabo, Marion or Vcarter to take on the opponents best wing player every night to go along with Bosh, Beverley & Howard, would make the Rockets one of the best if NOT the best defensive teams in the league, while still one of the best offensive team.

Both are overpaying. Bosh less so. I'll go with Bosh.

    this.

and Bosh's skills - proven perimeter scoring big man, above average defense, championship experience - fit so snugly into the Rockets' needs

    Bosh by a mile!

Parsons can go play with Cuban they both look like equal douches in that twitter pic. Grinning like young school girls. They are actually a good fit for each other. I despise Parsons after this douche move and I hope Morey doesn't match the offer.

I really hope when we play against the Mavs we destroy Parsons. Hell, I wish we trade for Batum just so that he can get schooled again by the better SF.

Bosh has the advantage in every category. Take him first and worry about the rest later.
