Issac Canaan, Nick Johnson, and until otherwise signed, Troy Daniels. I am not saying that these guys are on the same level as Lin as that's just ridiculous to say, but for what we ask from our PG's in our current system, they will serve as adequate stop gaps. Now if Beverley and Harden go down as in season ending, Howard will just have to pick up the slack.

See, here is another ridiculous point, you know theres no way Parsons will live up to 15 mil/yr, just like theres no way Lin can. Why blame the players when its the gm's giving out these ridiculous contracts. What are the players suppose go say "no thanks, I know im not that good"

Fans are passionate, irrational, and can hold grudges towards players for slights (both imagined and real) for stupid long periods of time. Comes with the territory. Just got to embrace it.

Those are all rookies. Team with championship aspiration should not depend on rookies. Daniels played 3 games for the rockets and Canaan barely played.

Lin is a diverse player who can played the point and 2 guard as a starter or off the bench. His versatility will be missed. Without parsons, harden is now your sole playmaker.

I put the same stock in him saying that as the reports he was sitting out because he didn't have a contract. It's all speculation and nobody knows what the truth is and never will.

I'm not honestly condemning him for that anyways. Even if he sat out because of the contract I can understand it. He's protecting his future. That said, I still think he's a mentally fragile player. He makes terrible decisions on the court and finally broke character on twitter. Do I think Lin is a bad guy; not at all. I think he's a genuinely good person. Do I think he's anything more then a mediocre basketball player; not at all and certainly isn't worth the money or the headache (not talking about internet fans here). Lin has a media following he will never live up to. People genuinely worship this dude and think he's some sort of savior when he's just a back up PG who had a really nice two week run. Not worth the hassle and not a winning player imo. Like I mentioned earlier i don't want my backup PG costing me games. Good riddance when he's gone but I don't wish any ill will on him whatsoever. I think he'll be fine after basketball and is a good role model.

His internet fans are lunatics though and most belong in padded cells. His website is evidence of that.

    Sam Cassell

    /thread

As far as playmakers go, I think you forgot Howard who during the playoffs was our BIGGEST playmaker.

Most underrated guard of all time.
Playoff hero. Perfect compliment to a big or shooting guard all star

Cassell was special. I doubt any of our rookies have his talents. Nothing wrong with pounding it in to Dwight. Dwight is our true superstar.

Can't blame him. He has his own issues to work out.

It's never going to stop. Both Dragic and Lowry are gone and we argue about them all the time as well. When Lin starts doing well again people (especially the trolls) will bring it up again.

There are plenty and most of them are probably trolls with new join dates. They only post when he has a bad game and are gone when he's doing well.

As a long time member, the LOHs are very real and much more annoying than the LOFs.

This very franchise begs to differ about using rookies if you have championship asperations....

    Lin only Hater.

Meaning they are here for the sole purpose to hate on Jeremy Lin.

Nothing to do with the Rockets...

I'd like to see some names of TRUE LOH.

Not a Rockets fan who doesn't like Lin very much....

I don't think current batch of rookies will suffice from watching them play. Who knows. Role players can be purchased cheap on the open market so I guess filling in for injuries shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Once this trade becomes official I see it being a 3 team deal.. Morey has the pelicans and sixers cooperation, think Sam is going to take rivers and whatever other cheap contract N.O needs to move for asik...

Their $30mill under cap so he has no worries and will probably get a 2nd rounder out of N.O added. Hinkie is about to come up on assests

I wonder if Miami wants to profit from losing? Lin + DMo + Jones + NOP + 2015 + 1 Euro stash + a bunch of non-guaranteed contracts for a SnT Bosh. Lin might give them some marketing $ to help soften blow and a Lin/Wade back court might be interesting to watch. Jones is good, NOP, our 2015 and a Euro is a pretty decent haul for someone leaving for nothing.

We should do everything we can. All of our picks from now to three years from now should be gone after the Parsons deadline.
