you guys really should take a step back and see how bitter and sensitive you sound. who gives a fk what he does. Morey made him a RFA, so he went and signed an offer sheet to dictate his value. Now it's up to the Rockets to match or not.

This. We had other-worldly value from him, and as of right now, he will probably never live up to a contract again. Mavs are screwed, big time, if we don't match.

Thanks Parsons. It was fun. I get it. If you're back, looking forward to it. If not, peace.

I won't lie. If it were a choice between a 10 to 12 mil contract from Houston and a MAX contract with the Mavs plus all the trade kicker stuff I would totally go for it. Remember that Parsons actually grew up a magic fan. He has no real deep rooted allegiances. It's his first big contract. You never know when you're going to get hurt or something. I do completely agree though that Parsons IS a douche at heart. His friends are douchey. I could have told you that before he signed that offer sheet.

He's 25. If someone offered you $45 million at that age to move to another firm in the same state, and it was the biggest money you ever were to see in your life, and for the first time, and you were single, you 'probably' would do the same thing and take the offer. Unless, of course, Darryl Morey had some kind of hold over you.

    Agree 100%.

Yeah those pics were douchey, but not as bad as the Decision 2010. And Cavs fans still praying for the return of LBJ.

Let's be real, it's a business all around.

Morey / Les = Wants most talent without overpaying anybody. Could care less about appeasing role players or native guys if it means landing bigger fish.

Players = Want money, could care less about loyalty to the team that drafted them

Fans = Could care less owner goes broke trying to field a winner. Could care less if own star players made less money to accumulate more talent. Just bring me rings so I can take vicarious joy in your victories.

If someone offers me 15mil/year then asks me to party with him that night to celebrate, I’m going... and I’m buying the drinks. Maybe he knows Morey isn’t matching. What would you do?

You think Bron/Posh/Wade is taking $15mil or less now? Hell naw.

I'm annoyed with how he did it, but I can't be angry at the man himself.

He has been an above average starter on a SECOND ROUND CONTRACT. The man has been grossly underpaid his entire career so far. Despite that, he was a good player, a glue guy, and a recruiter for us. Now he's getting paid. Overpaid, but really just getting back the money he might have had if he'd been properly drafted.

I hope we keep him. I think the pictures were douchey. But I don't hold a grudge.

It is a business - stop whining about guys treating the Rockets the same way the Rockets would treat them.

Morey would not hesitate to trade someone - Parsons should do whatever he thinks is right.

The Rockets are now on the clock - smart business move by Parsons.

People are getting way to bent out of shape over this.

His first shot at a big payday, and we're surprised he said yes to 15 million?? If he was a veteran, already earned a lot of money, I might feel a little different. But he's not. And I'm willing to bet most athletes don't hold the same grudges against other teams that fans do. It's silly to expect him to take our feelings into account when he's making life decisions for himself. How dare he sign a contract with the Mavs and then celebrate his success with the owner! And how dare someone take pictures of them! I get it, it's all part of his master plan to totally screw over Houston fans!

We need to get over it. He went and got a big payday. Good for him. It's up to the Rockets to match it. I'd honestly be more upset with Les and Morey if they didn't.
