    Chandler Parsons.

Dallas Mavericks, unless the Rockets match.

Attack me all you want, but being a desirable location seems to be a real issue.

I think the bottom line is that other superstars do not respect Harden and Howard. It would have gone a long way if we actually made a push during the playoffs but getting knocked out by Portland really hurt us in my opinion.

Right on cue Carlstradamus. I'll also stick with the culprit I named on the first page.

It is impossible for us not to sign Parsons IF WE WANT HIM.

So, bad example. If a dude gets $15m per season, and we aren't the team paying it, one can hardly begrude him taking it?

    It's just business.

A couple years ago, you poison-pilled two franchises, Cuban just did the same today.

the coach is not a talent magnet. gettting ousted in the first round by a lesser talented team will not make the best free agents available come knocking.

    Coaching?!

Carl Herrera told us otherwise! McHale was the recruiting master!

    ...

Look at all this greatness who wanted to play for great coach in Adelman!

Steve Francis! Brent Barry! Trevor Ariza! David Andersen! James White! Mike Harris! Von Wafer! Garrett Temple! Pops Mensah-Bonsu! Brad Miller! Ish Smith!

"Late night we get Vasquez singing, early morning Raptors agree on two-year deal with former Raptor James Johnson, sources confirm http://t.co/yBE00c25lI "
----- remember seeing rockets were interested in signing our ex-d-league player James Johnson that grizzlies signed this year from the vipers, he signed a 2 yr with raptors

Still, nobody has listed who these wonder FA's are that were missed. (Mind you, this is all speculation SINCE NONE OF THEM HAVE SIGNED YET).
    Carmelo, stayed put $
Bron is staying in Miami or going home to Cleveland. (His only plays, really)
    Nobody wants Wade.
    Lowry, stayed put $
    Dirk, stayed put

The key is that Houston has been in the conversation. Think, Milwaukee. They have $ and haven't even been in the conversation.

    Dumb threads are dumb.

we went from profiling lebron as a rocket to probably missing out on the playoffs. this could be another season, like in 2009, where all 8 teams accumulate 5o wins. No chandler, no asik and though his hater deny, lin did step up when harden was out. Not having those players is like 8 wins. Better pray we land bosh.

Wow, thin skin much? Um, wait until the season starts to see who's on the roster before you fall to pieces. mmmkay. A lot can happen between now and then.

We've been in the conversation? Great, we've been 3rd or 4th at best on a bunch of free agents' preferred destinations. A lot of good that did us this offseason. Not to mention past offseasons. It's not like this is the first time Morey and Les have done this. Bosh rejected us once before. Dwight talked his way out of playing for the Rockets a few years ago when they were looking to trade for him.

Here's the dirty little not-so-secret that Rockets management needs to come to terms with. Houston is not an attractive destination for free agents. Not just because it's a medium-sized market without the glamor of LA, NYC, or even Miami, but also because this is a mediocre franchise that has accomplished nothing in nearly 2 decades. You wanna get superstars on this team? You probably have to go the OKC route and stink for several seasons so you can acquire them via the draft.

Obviously that's not going to happen now with Dwight and Harden still on the roster. But when Dwight inevitably bolts in 2 more years when he realizes this is a deadend situation, Les needs to bite the bullet and stop trying to be the best lottery team every season. Cuz it ain't working.

And what has OKC won with their route? The last few winners have been San Antonio, LA, Boston, Dallas, and Miami. LA, Boston, Dallas, and Miami won through trades. San Antonio is the only franchise that choked one year then had Duncan and Robinson the next.
