are you in philly? talk radio here has been hugging Sam Hinkie's nuts and persuading sport fans to tank for the next 2 years to get better for the next 5--10 years like the thunders through draft since no superstar will choose philly in FA. one host even said the sixers might buy Lin out and let him walk. besides, sixers only won 19 games last season and did the fans burn or riot? they couldn't care less if Lin's sucking since they are already in the tank mode.

No, they wouldn't. Asik and Lin getting paid 30+ million. They wouldn't take that on when the Cavs could be offering Wiggins and a first rounder.

 

Phi gets: Lin , No Pick and a future second. Houston gets: Mcdaniels and Grant. that doesn't work?

Then we essentially had to trade Asik just to move Lin. That's a very non-Morey like move which smacks of desperation.

As long as Morey get's KJ McDaniels back as part of the deal (Lin + Pelicans' 1st/Capela/Jones/Canaan/Llull/Papanikolaou/etc.), because the Rockets need some wing players if Parsons is not matched ($15M - SMH).

Morey needs to modify the Asik trade and give a big FU to Cuban/Bosh/Fegan and anyone else who thinks that they can dictate to Dork Elvis:

Pelicans get: Omer Asik

Rockets get: Josh Smith & rights to Spencer Dinwiddie & Patric Young

Pistons get: Eric Gordon

Rockets can then sign Deng or Lance Stephenson (may have to trade TJ, D-Mo, Canaan, rights to Llull for cap space/TPE) and lineup will be:

Bev/Johnson
Harden/Daniels
Deng or Stephenson (TPE)/Covington
Smith/Papanikolaou (MLE)
Howard/Young

Deng/Stephenson will make up somewhat for the ball handling/assists that will be lost with the losses of Parsons/Lin. The D improves significantly with Deng/Stephenson replacing Parsons/Lin and the addition of Josh Smith.

Pappanikolaou adds a glue guy off the bench, while Young offers the similar post production and defense of Asik (better dunking, less rebounding).

both are expiring contracts and we would have taken another contract off their hands. Whos to say the Cavs would offer up Wiggins? I doubt the Wolves would pass up on a good trade to wait for something that has a 50/50 shot of not happening.

 

We don't even have a N.O pick right now, N.O has to trade players away just to get asik in their cap, that still has not happen yet & they've had time to do it.

Maybe morey will go a different direction now.
