I've wondered for a long time why ticket prices for the Rockets is so high...so why are they so expensive? I went to a Spurs game a few years ago on spring break and got real good tickets for 20 bucks...and my dad and I paid 45 bucks each for a pair of tickets on the very top row on the Compaq center. Is our payroll that much higher? ------------------ Who's ya daddy?
The Compaq Center is the least profitable arena in the NBA. Luxury boxes, concessions, merchandise, etc. So this is the only way Les can make jack, and apparently he is losing his a*s ------------------ "Chucky who?" Charles Barkley
I don't think the Rockets don't get any revenue from concessions/whatnot at the games. They only get the price of admission. We don't have to pay for parking at the Summit. I had to pay 8 DOLLARS for parking at a Mavs game last year. Our ticket prices ARE too high, but that's not what bothers me. I wish we gave discounts on season tickets like some other teams. The best Clipper Tickets are 20 DOLLARS cheaper for season tickets than individual games. That's incredible. I'd like to see high individual game prices and lower season ticket prices. (he says selfishly) You just gotta be careful where you buy tickets. $45 top row seats are the definitely the worst tickets for your money. You get the best tickets for your money in low rows in the best sections of $34 and $26.50 seats. I say the best tickets in the Summit for your money are: 1. $34 - Section 208 inside aisle 2. $26.50 - Section 206 inside aisle 3. $13 - Section 206, lowest row of $13 seats, inside aisle The key is being on the inside aisle. In section 208, you're sitting 6 feet from a guy who paid an extra $12 to be in 209. The most expensive tickets available for a particular game are definitely not the best value, and maybe not even the best seats available.
