Like everyone else, he respects Riley. It's a gesture of respect to inform him face to face, explain why he's leaving and have one final hug about the last 4 years.

Would you rather someone break up with you in person or over text message?

Dwight broke up with Kupchak in person too if I remember correctly.

It seems like you are assuming it was Riley who called for the meeting.

    How about this...

If you quit your job for a better one, it is easier to turn in your resignation letter to HR and pack up your things,

or to walk up to your boss and take a dump on his/her shoes?

You're being kind of weird. If you respect your boss, you do what Dwight did and talk to them about your decision to move on. I've literally done this, and I think it's the classy move.

But yeah, if you're basically at war or in a legal wrangle with your boss, by all means, just turn in a resignation letter and burn that bridge.

All that aside, I'm just saying we have no clue what he's going to do. I'm going to chill until HE says something about his next move.

Easier and the right thing to do are often completely different things...

There is a difference. Dwight in his first year and 1st round exit.

Lebron with 2 ships, and 4 finals under his belt

When you are the self-proclaimed King,

Anything that you want to do is, in your mind, the right thing to do.

Like having a TV show to dump on your fans in 2010.

I don't know what this means. You'd like to think they've hammered everything out by now. Lebron knows the numbers. His agent knows the numbers. Riley knows the numbers.

Perhaps this is just a way for Lebron to show that Riley failed to improve the roster sufficently.

I don't pretend to know what James is doing....but I've always had the decency to personally hand in my letter to my boss and have a short talk about it.

If Riley gets bad news, I think he'll react like Moe Green. (Fredo is Wade, btw).

It indeed would be the decent thing to do.

We are talking about LeBron James though.

He thought that a TV show was the decent thing to do in 2010.

Would Lebron make Nike more money in Cleveland or Miami? I'd have to think CLE because when he was there he was the face of the city. He represented the whole city. In Miami, not everythings about LeBron.

He also made 2.4 mill for charity doing the decision. It was a bad pr move but a lot of good came out of it.

Get over it. LeBron is handling this very professional. You clearly have an agenda against him. Stop being so bias and look at it for what it is.
