You can only hope the league views Hayward way above Parsons.

Fug you Michael Jordan, it wasn't enough that ppl already talk crap about our two titles because you were retired but now you go and do this. If we lose Parsons I'm going to the bobcats game when they play here just to send a message to Jordan through his players

Why would Parson's do that? He has yet to get paid and this is his opportunity to cash out. When you are an athlete, you can't afford to roll the dice and play for minimum salary. He hasn't signed anything because the SF position is on hold until Lebron or Melo decide. Heyward has a higher upside than Parsons so I don't think he will get $63M, but it will be over $50M. If he signs for less than $50M, he's a complete idiot.

My league sources provide the details on Jordan signing Gordon Hayward.

    Before the signing...

Jordan: SIXTY THREE MILLION DAMN DOLLARS? Mutha****** that's more than I made in my first ten years in the league! Shiiiiiiet I'm 50 damn years old and I can still take this b****. What his name? Gordon Howard?

GM: Michael, our team is terrible. You gotta pay the man if you want to ever make the playoffs and not get yo ass swept.

Jordan: ****! Pay that little b****.

    After the signing...

Jordan: Gordon! Welcome to the Hornets. Glad to have you!

Jordan thinking: **** this little b****. I can take him.

Jodie Meeks getting six million per year.
An aging Frye getting eight million per year
Hayward, an inefficient shooter and defender, getting the max

I just don't understand the moves that have been made this summer. This CBA seems to restrain the top echelon players from getting the contracts they deserve, and overpays role players.

Ugh... Jordan's stupidity might cost us Parsons. :(

He would still be making 800k this season if Morey had picked up the option. I'm sure they have an agreement to let Houston do things in free agency and then Chandler will be paid handsomely. Chandler wants to be in Houston and knows Rockets can improve the team. Rockets have said they will pay him.

I'm really not worried about this at all now. I really think LeBron and Melo will make decisions on Thursday and Bosh shortly after. I think LeBron's meeting with Riley tomorrow is too inform him that he's returning to Cleveland in person.

Bosh will stay in Miami w/LeBron or be in Houston.

Melo is what can hold things up for Dallas, Phx, Chicago, etc as long as they haven't been revoked formally.

Rockets still have a few days to work with if Parsons did sign an offer sheet to make a deal happen before matching and I think the dominoes will start falling before then

    Here's my interpretation:

Jordan: So I see the Jazz would match anything to keep Hayward, you wanna watch me screw them over again with what will undoubtedly be one of the worst contracts in the NBA?

    *signs Hayward to max deal*

Jazz Front Office: Damn you Jordan!!!! Not again!!

This makes no sense. The guy was shooting 30.4% 3P% and 41.3% FG% overall last year. One of the most horrible contracts I've seen in a while.

Dumb ass Bobcats! Just dumb. They offered that dude the anti-Morey contract on many levels which is why they will continue to flounder as an organization and the Rockets and Spurs will continue to get better. I'm sure Morey did a HUGE facepalm when he saw the news of that deal tonight. Wow.

What are the Hornets doing?? After years of mediocrity, they finally made some solid moves with the new coach and Al Jefferson. Now they let Josh go and sign another SF who cannot really shoot to a max contract, meaning MKG is going to do what? Back to the lottery it is...

This is a nice write-up by David Locke (radio voice of the Jazz) that describes why they will match the offer sheet.

So when are people going to realize that Michael Jordan is not the GM of the Charlotte Hornets?

"The market was oversaturated with money and lacked talent. When the market opened I counted 24 slots of 12 million or more available for players and only 12 players who were near worthy of a 12 million dollar contract."

If it were an option I'd want both at max deals instead of Bosh/Melo. Hayward is more of a guard and Parsons a forward. At worst they are tradeable pieces even if overpaid.
