I know right. I listened to it. It was spot on. I'm tired of these athletes messing with our minds too. Lets see... tommorrow I have to decide whether I want 100 million in LA or NY. Wow... I wish my decisions were like that.

I listened to the whole podcast as I didn't get to listen him on the radio today . Agree everything about Bosh being ignorant not taking Rockets and how stupid reporters repeating themselves with the same crap about lebron this and that blah blah. Just "shaad up " lol. Asked Jamer Nelson if would like to sign with the Rockets and reunite with his "ol buddy " he replied like "can't comment right now "or something like that. Said the same reply about joining Lakers too.
People ignoring finances in favor of "I want to work with my buddy" as a deciding factor in making those career and life decisions seems pretty absurd to me. Especially when you are talking about over $20 million dollars over the life of the contract which is what the disparity in contract offers is sounding like it's amounting to. So far we know Miami is trying to get Bosh to accept something on the order of 4 years / 60M. How he can choose that over a 4yr/85M contract, on a team which should be just as competitive no less, is baffling. If agents are pissed off about teams asking their players to take less money, maybe they should do their damn jobs and alert their clients to the foolishness of agreeing to be taken advantage of.
These are life changing decisions. They are perfectly within their rights in using however long a period to decide where they want to play. This could be their last big contract, after all. If anything, it's Jay Mohr and co. who are acting like a bunch of babies here. Why shouldn't the athlete consider all his options? Why shouldn't his he take his comfort level in the workplace into consideration?
When you are worth hundreds of millions of dollars, quality of life becomes a hell of a lot more important. We are only on this earth 80 years and you cannot take the money with you. Ask yourself this, how will that 20 million change Bosh's life? Not much when you have multi generational wealth.
Pretty ignorant. There are only 20 or so people in the world who can do what Bosh does, he has a right to feel entitled. Considering he's already made $100 million and wants to remain in a familiatlr setting, I see nothing wrong with hinbyurbing down Houstons offer. $25 million doesn't matter to an athlete who already has 9 figures in his bank account .. Rich folk always emphasize quality of life anyways.
God, I couldn't listen for very long. His use of drops just drives me nuts. The "Shut UP" thing was just too grating on my ears.
It's not ridiculous at all. Money isn't everything. I've made business decisions about who I want to do business with based on the person, the situation and whether or not I'll enjoy my time there or will I be stressed out. Money isn't the only thing, especially when you already have tens of millions of dollars. Not sure how you don't see that. You guys are really impatient and overly concerned with what other grown men are doing with their business. Maybe if you focused on your own career and finances the way you do these athletes you all would be better off financially.
Ok, Space I listened to the first 16+ minutes after I got a Jack/Ginger. Got up at the 8 minute mark and got another shot. While we all may feel somewhat like Jay, having moved 17 times in a 29 year military and civilian career I can understand these guys looking at all of the different angles to the various choices they could possibly make. I hope we get Bosh or Love, and still keep CP and some of our young guys. However, hitting refresh isn't gonna get it done, so I'm just going to pretend I'm in some hell hole with no immediate Internet access and check GARM in the evenings. Thanks for the link it was entertaining, especially after a couple of whiskeys.
No problem, man. If nothing it's nice to hear someone else other than us getting fed up with the whole thing. If it can be entertaining along the way, then great. I too am in a field where each "career decision" you make lasts about three years, and then you have to interview and compete for the next level, knowing that if someone offers you a position and gives you an ultimatum of one week to accept or reject it, well, that's just life. You make some good choices, some bad ones, and over time you learn what really matters in the decision making process. Pretty much 1 and 2 for me have been family and career prospects. Aside from a few rare situations though, location has been perhaps THE worst reason to choose one place over another.
