For strictly glazed I can't imagine anyone doing it better then a fresh hot shipley's version.

I love Kolaches and I've never had better then the Kolache Shoppe on telephone road. Those things literally melt in your mouth. They sell out fast too.

best kolaches goes to donut palace. dont think theres any in houston but there are a ton outside of it in smaller towns and such. usually stop by and get their big country, a jalapeno, cheese and sausage kolache on road trips. the best.

Old Towne Kolache's - They sell a bacon kolache that is awesome. They used to be at Kirkwood and Memorial, but now have a location at 290 and 43rd.

Warm (fresh) Shipley's glazed is the best donut of all time.

I think the actual downside is you have eaten about a year of healthy, heart surgery free living, off of your life

You all need to go out to La Porte for YUMMY Donuts. Best glazed evah! Also they have top notch kolaches. Place is ran by a sweet Vietnamese family.

Hmm, I work around that area and will definitely try them out. Jalapeno and chreemchease kolachi with bacon or ham mixed in is the best at Morning Kolachi though. They also have the best cinnamon rolls ever.

If good pu$$y came in donut form, it would be a Shipley's glazed. Hey, that gives me an idea.......

This. Get there pretty early, get the plain glazed a couple of minutes after coming out of the oil, and with the glaze still semi-liquid...

It is a transcendent experience - honestly one of the handful of most amazing prepared foods ever.

Once they've been sitting in the case for a while it's like a completely different thing - never get anything but plain glazed or you won't get them hot. Honestly, if you've never gotten them hot, you really don't have any concept. Once they're cold I could take them or leave them.
