Who here is thinking about unplugging from NBA talk until something happens?

I'm usually 60% work and 40% CFans on slow days at the job. And today and likely the rest of the week will be slow. The Hangout isn't really entertaining at the moment, so I'll likely not be unplugging.

 

I think I'm at this point. I do all my clutchfaning from my phone. Makes it hard not to look when your never logged off.

 

Its nice escapism from mundane regular life.

Though 50 pages of a thread on potential deals doesnt actually mean theres 50 pages of actual REAL life developments. Its mostly 40 pages of posters speculating with each other and expressing what they WANT to happen. Or its expressing approval or disapproval with rumored deals.

Me right now, I dont mind seeing news after the fact. Theres still the "WHOA!" factor there. Even without having to know that Carmelo decided to wear white shoes before going to Subway via Twitter, being ahead of everyone else

 

Aaannndd I'm back again...this could be a problem

 

I have half unplugged. I'll check the headlines in the morning and the evening to see what the real news is -- like who has made actual verbal commitments -- but ignore all the rumor mill stuff about how Carmelo slouched during his meeting with Cuban. When Carmelo or Lebron or Bosh commit to a team, I'll be around to talk about it. I like to talk about what players should do, but I'm not going to bother with trying to read the tea leaves about what they will do. When they'll do it, I'll know, and then I can comment on what a dumb decision that was.

 

All human pleasure is a buildup of tension and a release.

I am with you. Have no interest in all the FA rumor stuff. I don't click on the FA threads anymore.

I used to be excited about that kind of things. After a few seasons with Morey, I've found myself in a deal-fatigue state.

 

Since yesterday I've been half-unplugged. I only check once or twice a day now for headlines. And if I see an old thread about one of the FAs, I might scan the last page to see if anything actually happened.

I was ready for decisions to be made on July 5th. Now they've burned me out until July 10th.

 

It's pretty aggravating, however some dramatic FA action is a better than no NBA news...I guess

 

Hi, I watched a WNBA game the other day, and an arena football game last night, and, oh, also soccer. So, no, I think I'll keep hitting F5. Thanks.

 

Actually, I'll enjoy the "maybe we'll get ______" while I can. Because as soon as the hammer drops & we officially know we didn't land Lebron or Melo or Bosh or Lowry & still have Mcfail, then all of the "we suck" threads will appear like magic ETC ETC ZzZ

Its's really Lame how dramatic and drawn out the NBA free agency is. They( players and most major media) love it. Its like a Soap Opera.
