Media are as clueless as we are for good reason. Because no one besides the players or their agents know.

This is their jobs to speculate and to draw viewers attention. They are paid to make statements to draw YOUR ATTENTIONS.

Dont blame them, blame yourself for listening to their BS.

I don't think lebron even knows what he wants to do, everything is just speculation at this point, they can say x is more likely to go here. They can speak in probabilities, not definite

And click. The internet (Yahoo, ESPN, etc...) is good at making the title seem more than what the article is really about just for the all important click

Media isnt always as clueless as they come across. Some DO have a clue ahead of time that they know NOTHING.

But it doesnt stop them from reporting drivel, giving second hand accounts and giving their 2-cent speculation anyway. Because theres ratings and page hits to be had from it.

Its a simple matter of scale, too. There's only going to be VERY FEW thats TRULY clued in to developments. Out of 50 media outlets, only 3 will know whats going on, sometimes less, and the rest pretend expertise, to get views.

The unread uninformed about the league policies, thats just lazy or its cuz they got too many sports to cover to specialize in one area.

Said it better than I did in fewer words

Yep, misleading titles and sensationalist headlines. A practice even older than print media itself.

These days with internet, citing accurate sources and non-plagiarism doesnt mean much anymore. Its about having anything for click-bait. So checks and balances and fact checking is even less prioritized.

even in here, where nobody gets paid by the number of views they have on their thread people make misleading title threads just to get views or to discuss the dumb OP.
