Why wouldn't any team trade Harden for Lebron, especially if you can also get Bosh, but why bring this up? Lebron will most likely stay in Miama 90% and probably a 10% chance to he'll go to the Cavs IMO.

Most importantly, the only way Bosh leaves (despite all the rumors) is if something goes terribly wrong and Lebron ends up leaving Miami. Bosh stays if Lebron stays and he goes if Lebron goes. So I think you kind of have it backwards.

Harden isn't going anywhere no time soon.

One of the reasons a big 3 is easier for us than some other teams (like Miami) is that Harden's max contract is coming off of his rookie deal, meaning that his max is currently in the 13-14 million range. Howard, Lebron and Bosh's max contracts are all around 20+ a year. If we had all three of them, at max or near max deals, we would be in a similar situation that Miami is now- too much money tied up in our big three to really add other good players around them.

Would it be possible? Sure, it would be possible. Is it likely? No, not at all. And if we are thinking "pie in the sky" scenarios, I think I would rather Harden/Lebrun/Howard over Lebron/Bosh/Howard

yeah it's always good to think of scenarios like that but that particular scenario to me is more like a pie in the outer reaches of the universe.

Has anyone ever really heard of a case where a player joins a team with forcing an existing all nba player out as a condition actually happening?

 stop with these stupid threads, if you have an idea as bad as this one, put it in the random trade ideas. This doesn't deserve its own thread

If you have to preface a thread with "Pie in the sky", it's probably not worth posting...

This is not unrealistic, think about it. The trio was a result of all 3 of them willing to take a pay cut. However that formula has changed with Lebron first said he is not willing to take a paycut and seeking for max. This is a business move by Lebron who is trying to force Heat's hand to act now. This is also sending a strong signal to Wade and Bosh as there is a very slim chance lebron will be back unless something dramastic happened.

Certainly I thinK Lebron isnt happy with the team, Wade has opted out and same with Bosh. Now Heat has to do something to convince them or at least lebron to be back. Wade is hurt and with his condition I doubt he would commmend anything more than 10 mills per year.

So the bottomline is, If Heat can get some FAs and get some pieces here and there. Lebron may then be willing to take a pay cut and get back with bosh and wade. Lebron is calling the shot by starting the bluff.
