Reiterating what others have said, but Bosh would absolutely be a better fit than Melo for this team. Would much rather have Bosh than Love, because getting Love would likely mean trading Parsons, and I'd much rather have Bosh/Parsons than just Love.

Also gotta give props to Morey. Two years ago, this team was just stockpiling assets, and have since got Harden/Howard, and a shot at adding a 3rd star - whether that be Bosh, Love, or perhaps even Rondo. Regardless of what happens, bravo Morey, bravo.

Now if only McHale was let go at the end of the year...

Sadly Yao never was Yao again and Brooks fell into an abyss after his injury.

    Yep, sadly.

But if he joins Houston this time, he'll be in a MUCH better situation [IMG]

Just addressing your Bosh/Parsons > Love point; signing a player like Paul Pierce for around 4-5 million + Love is probably better in the short term. Love offers more scoring from a further range and will clear quite a few more rebounds. BUT... a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, so I wouldn't plan on signing a Pierce type player without knowing his intentions.

I'm still sold on Rondo if Boston is interested. Even at a high price, Rondo is worth a ton. He instantly gives you a high percentage midrange game, he gives you assists that make the game easy, and defensive grit that even Beverly can't bring(bc of size). I would actually prefer Rondo to any other player not named LeBron and the competitive edge he brings to the playoffs might even give him the edge for me when considering the 2 players(Rondo wouldn't concede to cramps). Any man that can average 11.1 and 8.4 in the regular season and then turn it up several notches and averages 14.5 and 9.2 in the playoffs has my nod. He's one of the few PGs in history that can boast that they've been double-teamed while their shoe-in-HOF teammates were not. With Beverly as his backup/backcourt partner, whatcha gonna do when RondoBevMania runs wild on you?

Never forget that Rondo has gotten 20+ assists in a PLAYOFF game. Never forget that Kobe hates him because he's that good. Never forget the value of a PG that loves to dish... especially when you have 2 finishers like we have. Who cares who hates him when you love him? Who cares if he's coming off knee surgery if the style of his game doesn't require him to fly by his man? Magic had bad knees and no one paying him ever flinched.

You gotta prefer Bosh over Melo, as he wouldn't be a defensive sieve, and already knows how to play with two stars who are better than him.

One thing you gotta love about Morey is his aggressiveness

It's hard to be heavily engaged when he player still isn't willing to meet with you because he is still holding out hope for his prefered situation.

Sure, but the media is making it sound like we could steal him from Miami. What's basically happening is bosh has his agent making sure he has a soft landing spot if Miami doesn't work out.

Considering source cited in first post put caveat on Bosh staying in Miami if Lebron does, I think the source for this news isn't attempting to mislead readers. Granted, I don't know the validity of the news.

On Bosh not meeting with Rockets, the Lebron and Melo dominoes have not fallen yet. If the Rockets say they will give him the max, he may or may not choose to meet with the Rockets. I doubt the Rockets offer that until they know Melo is out and I see little reason for Bosh to be meeting with a team until that team is willing to make an offer and/or Lebron decides what he is going to do.

Warming to the idea of Bosh, but still not sure about an absolute MAX deal... I guess if that's the only way to get him to come and we have no other options, sometimes you have to overpay a little.

Do not want bosh, not after he ditched us the first time around. He's older and could only decline.

Still would much rather we fire milk hair and get a real coach.

I`d be more comfortable paying him a little less. He`s a little older, a little more fragile than in TOR days.

I hope we get Love. With or without Parsons.

I agree about firing Devin MacHail but the Chris Bosh part is off. He would really help. Do you know just how good he is when LeBron or Wade were out? In one of the games he put up 37 points when LeBron didn't play and he hit a game winner in the end. It was against the Blazers. Bosh would be perfect here.

    Melo stays in NY
    LeBron goes to Cleveland
Love is traded to Cleveland, Wiggins goes to Minnesota
    Bosh signs with Houston

    I like this outcome

I don't get why anyone cares about paying Bosh the max. It's just Les ALexander's money. We are basically not going to be able to sign anyone for big money like this after this season unless we do it now

Cleveland is not on Love's agreed destinations to be traded to.

One has nothing to do with the other.

Get Bosh and keep TJones. Bosh just turned 30 in March, he is not going to decline that fast. By the time this contract is over he will have just turned 34. Plus Bosh goes back to his natural position as a Power Forward.

Why not keep your angst towards Kevin McHail in one of the threads specifically designed to talk about him instead of polluting this one.
