Damn, ESPN is trying to make it seem like the Rockets "apparently" moved on. COuld it be they are talking to Bosh just in case Çarmelo goes to another team? I don't know, its all speculation i guess. But it seems like they are just trying to make HOuston look like a team not interested in Melo or Lebron anymore.

This Arye kid is a straight stalker.. he'd be more credible if he wasn't such a homer. He's got connections, no doubt.

Melo wants max money and a winning team. Rockets give him a winning team but not enough money. Chicago gives him a winning team, but def not enough money. LA gives him money, but winning team is iffy. Knicks suck and Phil Jackson probably doesn't want to offer Melo max.

Mavs are just a big ****ing joke, so they were never considered.

Melo is going to LA y'all.

Bosh was always preferable to Melo, he was just never considered realistically available.

I wouldn't complain with Bosh/Parsons signings this offseason. Then we use our MLE to sign a 6th man (or split it and sign 2 "quality" bench guys, and then watch this team chase a championship.

can't sign bosh using cap space, and use MLE. Only works if we sign & trade for bosh.

Thought the Rockets could offer Melo max money as well?

We went through this last year. A max deal in LA vs. a max deal in Houston is about the same after taxes.

a max deal with bird rights was still significantly less per year than a non bird rights max in houston

yes we went through this, but you didn't seem to take much of it in.

Still, Melo can get a 5 year max in NY and that 5th year may be important to him because it'll be a supermax 5th year. Do you think he can still get anything close to that supermax at age 34?
