I have given my reasons in other threads. Usually when you get older, you regress unless your name is Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki. He isn't into that mold of superiority, where you do get older in age, yes, but your play doesn't go along with it. He is known as soft and would get crushed playing in the Western Conference... Yes, he plays against the West, though not as much as if he were in the West. I would just rather have us get either an top 25 star in the NBA, coming from the East (Rondo, James, Anthony, Millsap even) or us get an established Western Conference PF, if our goal is to get a PF, whether if that's by FA or by S&T. If I were an NBA player at the 4, and went up against Bosh, unless I was like Philadelphia or Milwaukee or a team like that, I wouldn't be afraid of him and would school him... (Aldridge would school him in the playoffs). I may be underrating him but I just don't feel like he would fit in well here. No doubt, he is a good player, but I would rather have him go somewhere else than to offer him a near-MAX contract... Not unless, we got him and he was flipped somewhere else.
Exactly! I know that Love isn't a post up player, but with him being at a young age, it is never too late to learn! (Just like Harden needs to improve on defense). Among other reasons stated, I just don't like the idea of our 3rd star being the oldest of the bunch. Just saying...
If the Heat have no cap space because LeBron and Bosh are demanding max salary, then Pat Riley would not have bothered to visit Luol Deng in Chicago.
I don't mind. If he forces to Heat to pay him 90/5 [18/yr] Which will cripple their ability to get servicable bench players I am good with that Rocket River
Well it has been stated somewhere in the twitterverse that Riley has not offered actual dollars to free agents. Reason: he doesn't know yet how much Bosh and Wade will command.
@SportsTaxMan: via @TheNBACentral The Houston #Rockets are reportedly preparing to give Chris Bosh a max contract. That would be 4 years $94.4M #NBA
@SamAmicoFSO: Chris Bosh definitely has interest in Rockets and Mavs, source says. And Bosh has "zero knowledge" of what LeBron is going to do.
I will wIthhold total condemnation until I see the team play together for a year as I like Bosh but at the moment this contract offer sounds absurd.
Still don't understand the Bosh disliking. There's not a better fit at power forward for us than Bosh. Dude can still ball. Had to change his role a ton to make the Miami thing work.
....thats committing suicide right there. I would rather have the Heat keep their big two and a quarter.
