Damn bro. I don't think thats what he meant when he said "If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also".

How is it poor treatment? If anything, it's poor management on Lin's agent. He obviously is either ignorant, naive, or both. Everyone knew the Rockets wanted to add a 3rd star. DM and Les have made numerous comments since the beginning of last season. After the season they reiterated these sentiments. So again, if Lin feels so spurned, he should blame his agent for not telling him how his contract was structured.

Does Lin consider himself to be on the level of LBJ/Lebron/even Bosh?

The Rockets made it VERY clear they were looking to upgrade the team, adding one of these stars, IF available. Being that Carmelo's number happens to also be 7, and in order to get such a player, they would need to clear out as much cap space as possible to cover Harden, Dwight, and to hopefully match Parsons, he SHOULD have known he had to go for it to go down. If his number happened to be 6, and they brought in LBJ, would he really assume that he would EVER get to hold a number if a star wanted it? No, he would be traded, or he would change "voluntarily."

If he didn't. He's an idiot. I don't think Lin's an idiot. Do you?

You really want to see Jeremy's ass, don't you. Maybe Jeremy doesn't want to show you his ass! Ever think of that? Jeremy may be bubbling over with passion, for all we know, but showing you his ass? You expect a lot, dude. That's a large thing to ask of Jeremy. You seem to think, "We showed you the money, now show us your ass!" Seems a bit sexist to me. This can be summed up, possibly, by one of the minor poets of the 16th century, to wit:

Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer. The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune, Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Seems like a Doc Rocket post to me. Would it be nobler of Jeremy to suffer silently with that $25 million in his pocket (truly a terrible fate, right?), dodging and weaving the whole time, or should he strike out at that sea of troubles by Tweeting Bible verses, like a canary in a coal mine on its last gasp of air? Inquiring members of ClutchFans would like to know.

i think we can all get the gist of this post if we tried to be open with our minds and hearts. i think it's pretty cool that the rockets can have such a diverse fan base that folks who obviously are not native english speakers would still want to post about their passion on this fan site (which unfortunately, is sometimes is not too inclusive of "others").

It's one Turing to know you're going out the door. It's another thing when you still have a year left on your contract and they've put another name on the locker when that other person hasn't agreed and not be polite enough to tell you in person about it and then have it leaked to the press and embarrass him publicly. They begged him back and promised good things. Of course all fair's in business and he's getting paid good money, but they could have been sensitive to the fact that they really pulled a 180 on him (their perogative, but own up to it) and treated him with some politeness. The picture of Melo will have absolutely no impact on his decisionmaking, and they didn't need to do it. Or of they're going to do it then have the decency to tell him they're going to do it. Saying lin or his agent should have known better is like blaming the victim. Doesn't change the fact that what the rockets did wasn't classy or needed. Sure they knew he was leaving. Maybe they were hoping for some public courtesy. I love the rockets and I love Morey and I've been a fan for more than 10 years and will remain a fan forever, but they did wrong here. It reinforces the "asset" treatment image of the rockets. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do, but have a heart about it.

In answer to your last question, of course he knows he's going out the door. He was probably hoping not to be embarrassed on the way out the door while he was still under contract for another year. This was NOT the same as Beverley. Everyone knew Beverley was staying and getting increased time. Lin is being shown the door - at least have a little class and sensitivity about it. Look if Anthony said I want my picture on a rockets uniform with my number on it as you talk to me, then I get it. Do what you need to do. But I seriously doubt Anthony needed to see a big photoshop of himself. We have much more compelling arguments to make. Or do it on the IPAD or keep people from taking the picture and leaking it.

Wow.. Woj. saying Rockets have deal(S) lined up for Lin is interesting, seems like more than one team is interested.

And that it will take a PICK attached to J.Jack for cavs to move him.

Even though a lot of us on this board don't think Lin has a lot of value, he is still young and has upside if he can get his head out of his butt. And also there is the money he can bring in for a team. I think we can get a second round pick for him...maybe

The two teams I figured, especially with KIDD coaching & drafting Parker, the owner knows fans will come out.
