Just heard Rudy on 950. He said Keith Jones got the results from the test and was taking them to the doctor and that Rudy doubted Mo' would play. However he did say that Cato practiced today and would likely get some minutes. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris Fan Club - est. 99-00
With the cap room Detroit has don't be surprised if Mo jumps to the Pistons in the offseason ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
Detroit has a big trade exception. I thought this thread was gonna be about trading the two players to Detroit for their #1 pick. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mo head home, either. Knowing Lil Francis and the "wink" he gives, I suppose he thinks we'll get Webber. Well, one can dream, anyway. Detroit actually wants its hometown C-Webb over Mo, so either player could be there next year, considering the cap room/trade exception Detroit will have to work with. ------------------
So nobody thinks the Pistons will try to keep their current PF Joe Smith? ------------------ GATER [This message has been edited by GATER (edited January 03, 2001).]

Detroit is not likely to look at Mo Taylor in the offseason. They could have had him this offseason if they wanted, but instead issued statements about avoiding soft players and the like. They went after the anti-Taylor in Ben Wallace. Mo was said to want to play in Detroit, but they never once mentioned him or hinted they were interested. ------------------
JV - my exact sentiments. For some reason or another, Rocket players have this consistent ability to get injured during the course of the season. There may be some underlying reason behind it. It will be a very interesting idea if someone could give us some reasonable explanation to this really annoying phenomena. I now believe it is not the age as we got young players - nor fatigue (well maybe). Someone may enlighten us here - does anybody keep a stat of which team have the most injured players at the course of the season? I may be wrong but Utah plays tough and rough basketball but their star players (Karl Malone/John Stackton) are mostly healthy during the season. The old Chicago team (Jordan's team) is the same and now the Lakers seems like their star players stay healthy. I remember those days (before Phil Jackson) when Shaq would be sidelined with a variety of injuries/illness. But now, I seldom hear that kind of news. I do not know if there is any connection with how Phil train his guys but how else do you explain it? Is it Keith Jones? Oh by the way this is not Rocket bashing. I am honestly just plain puzzled at these injury reports. ------------------
If Mo leaves let's have a big dance.................. ------------------ C-son ______________ "If you wanna feel funky feel free, but please don't get the funk on me."
Yeah lets have a big party and dance, lets celebrate getting slaughtered up front! If Mo keeps up his current pace, he'll definitely be welcomed back! Unless we get Webber but that's not happening! ------------------
I got the reason for you all: BAD Luck. Cato's injury: He skied for a rebound, grabbed it, and landed on some clown's foot, spraining his ankle. Mo's injury: He was runnin to get back in transition and stepped on somebody's foot, twisting his knee. ------------------ da ability to focus attention on important things is a defining characteristic of intelligence - alaskanSnowman
Yes it will ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
Rudy needs to train these players to jump correctly, avoid landing on other players feets, keep them in better condition, and take their influenza shots regularly. ------------------
I thought earlier that the Rockets had a lot of injuries because we had so many old players. But now the team is young so why do they still have injuries. It must be Keith Jones. Can we trade him to Utah for their guy? ------------------ RealGM Rockets Draft Obligations Summary http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
lol.......trainning players not to land on others feet. That is so funny. I have to wear ankle braces all the time because I land on peoples feet. You can't train people not to land exactly where you want to. You can't know where other feet are going to be. I am only 5'9 but I do grab around 6 boards a game and I can get blocks in bunches so I have to get in with the big boys and get close to them. Because of this I have sprained my right ankle 3 times and my left ankle once. once on my right I couldn't walk properly for weeks. To me it's actually luck where you land. You can stand back and watch your man get an uncontested lay-up or let a rebound hit the floor (if the other team doesn't grab it) and not get injured. OR you can be aggressive, get in there and do what ever you have to do to help out. There are risks involved there. And that is why I now wear ankle braces everytime I play. Even street ball which is embarrassing but confortable knowing you wont be hobbling for weeks. No trainning will help you grab a rebound, control exactly where you land and allow you to know where others feet are. If so tell me what and I'll start doing it! ------------------ Miggidy Markell says: 1. Eastcoast is da sh*t 2. Rockets rule 3. Hip/Hop is dope 4. Buy the new Ruff Ryders album! There is a Rocket player who never gets injured. His name is Shandon Anderson. Shandon Anderson has started the last 114 games for the Rockets. Anderson is the only Rocket player to have played in the Rockets last 114 games. He never gets injured. The only time Anderson got injured was in 1996-1997, his rookie year, season when he missed 15 games due to a stress facture in his left foot. That was the only time he got injured in his NBA career. Shandon Anderson should talk to Carlos Rogers about how to stay off the injured list. Rogers is a solid basketball player but he gets injured often. Once Rogers is active he does everything to help the team. If Anderson plays at least 10 more seasons he can break A.C. Green's record for most consecutive games played! Go Shandon Anderson! ------------------
Isn't Shandon supposedly a fitness freak, a la Karl Malone? Anybody see a connection here? ------------------ "ON-BEE-TAH-BULL!!", Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon, alumnus, University of Houston
