    I think its because the people who knows him ranges from great to horrible types of fans. Like it or not it does exist. For me its just irritating that a player who goes to work everyday and didn't even cause locker room commotion, didn't pout like Asik did when relegated to a sub, but get bash for just the most ridiculous of reasons.

    Some fans also hate him, and wonders why there's a lot who supports him. Well guys, we do also wonder the opposite thing. LOL. And please, stop about the 15mil salary he's gonna get. Who was the one who gave it to him anyway? What would he know at that time? He's just a kid who was desperate to play in a city who wants him. NY didnt offer him anything afterall. He just wanted to play basketball.

    The bigger question now is, did this impress Carmelo or just turn him off? Rockets management might be blind to this so called player treatment reputation, but for Carmelo who's been a NY player, he would be looking closely at that before signing up. Its just basic principles in any organization man, no matter how big or small it is. Why else is there advertisement, public events for brands and such? Its to appeal to the masses. Players do look at other circumstances too, that would be telling how an org is run, right? I mean why would a passive Derrick Rose come out of his solitude after saying its not his job to recruit Melo? A front office should look professional during free agency times, but this? Hmm, I am curious about Melo's take. I don't really think he's as villainous as others say. Wonder if this ruins Dwight's chance of grabbing free agents cause of this issue? Wonder when it would die down. Not until Jeremy is traded?

    Yeah it really is. I see where Lin is coming from, Morey and the Rockets organization could have handled the situation better but Lin is too sensitive about it. At the end of the day he needs to understand that basketball is ultimately a business and that Morey is just doing whatever he can to recruit Melo.

    Genius, passive aggressive reaction, hahaha. He cant outright curse Rockets like normal beings like us, like I have done after knowing this event, damn ****ing Rox so discourteous to a player! If it was Bev, or Parsons, Roc using his jersey number to sell to Lebron, I would be very peeved too! :mad:

    Because he wasn't raised like that, the guy doesn't even go blind drunk on parties or gets a tattoo, or abuse his status as a star to get girls, and his sensitivities maybe cant tolerate a classless rebuke, so he quotes a bible passage that related to his plight and gets us to react, because we get the picture more clearly than any bull****ting does.

    The Rockets have worked to take everything from Lin. They are paying him well, certainly, but that’s only one part of doing a job and being part of an organization. If you want to win you have to treat people with respect and dignity, and the message the Rockets send out to the league when they treat someone the way they are treating Lin is that perhaps Houston is not the best place to sign as a free agent.
    Plenty of teams have money. Plenty of teams have cap space. Carmelo has plenty of options, and with teams that have a better shot at getting him to the NBA Finals. If the Rockets want to get serious about winning a championship they have to stop crunching numbers and start paying attention to the human side of the game. The NBA is certainly a business, but business is as much about relationships as it is there.

    Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;

    Phillipians 2:3
    Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself;

    Matthew 7:12
    "Therefore, however you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

    Morey's analytics failed miserably on the moral front. On one hand, teams like Spurs and Heat are building championship teams that treat players like family. On the other hand, Rockets are assembling assets that treat players like emotionless assets.

    Just two years ago, Lin was Rocket's rising star. Today, Lin is Rocket's negative asset.

    Have u check the definition of love n disrespect in dictionary? U can still love someone yet stand up for yourself. Perfectly normal. You love your siblings, families, parents, spouses, etc but would u let them bully u?

    2 different things.

    That's what happens at work when you don't perform. You don't get a hug and a Teddy bear, you get shown the door.

    Rising star?

    Also, it's Lin's fault about his value to the league and team. He has had plenty of time to prove he's worth his contract.

    Yep, Lin had nothing to do with that.

    In fact, Asik and his mysterious injury + trade demands turned him into a negative asset as well. So much so that Morey wasn't able to flip him for what he wanted...

    ...oh wait, that didn't happen

    Lowry posted a photo in twitter with him in Amir Johnson's jersey saying it's not his jersey looolll and he's staying with Toronto 2014-2015. He could just be making fun of Lin / the whole situation, but my guess is people are looking seriously at what is happening here. It's not the number itself that is the problem, it's the fact they didn't inform Lin, the tweeting and lying by either one side or both and Morey's reponse. He comes across a dick which he is. Where there's smoke, there's fire so the Rockets being considered a classless organisation or at least being treated like a number by Morey and co. is pretty a accurate, so it seems.
