Stop it! you are out of control. its posters like you that are clogging up this place. lock this thread please
Yea enough with the threads, but no i dont eat any protein stuff, theres other ways of to build muscle, dont need any dumb supplement to do it for me.
I was wondering about this same subject. I recently started drinking the Strawberry Activator from Smoothie King. It has a little bit of creatine and I think it helps. Anyone recommend any protien bars that actually taste good?
Stay away from Soy...unless you want to turn into a female. All that estrogen in Soy changes a man. Seriously, though...I have heard people say that men should not consume alot of Soy for that reason. I don't understand why Soy would negatively affect men. I used it quite frequently when I was working out and 25 grams a day is supposed to lower cholesterol. I eat all those vegetarian type items and they all have Soy in them. I'm growing boobs but other than that...no negative side effects . If I had to resume, I would probably do half Soy and half Whey...or rotate my protein shakes and bars. I like Soy much better than I like Whey. Also, there is no doubt that extra protein intake is significant in building muscles. Normally, a person doesn't eat more than 25 grams of protein a day. If you really want to build muscle, you should be consuming much more...most recommend 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. I've seen the before and after effects so I know it works. Protein is needed to build much muscle mass. Otherwise, good luck.
Try the Meso Tech line. Expensive, but I could easily eat a whole ****ing box if my self control was any more lax.
I drink the Met-RX RTD-40 protein drinks and honestly they taste pretty good. Available at any GNC or buy cheaper online in bulk. They contain 26 vitamins and minerals as well as 40 grams of protein. Best of all no mixing or powders just shake and drink. I've been using them for a few months and have noticed increases in strength. Anyone else who drinks them, I'd be curious as to your opinion.
normally i eat captain crunch in my socks while rubbing my crotch. then i finish it off with nice 50 pack of cd-rs.
http://www.nnfa.org/services/science/bg_SoyIsoflavones.htm This says newborns don't get gynecomastia from isoflavones. http://www.ironmanmagazine.com/detail.php?pid=698 That similarity allows the isoflavones to displace estrogen in certain cellular estrogen receptors, thus blocking the hormone’s activity. In that sense soy isoflavones work like drugs such as Nolvadex or Tamoxifen, which many bodybuilders use to block anabolic steroids’ conversion into estrogens, a process that can result in gynecomastia, or male breast tissue increase. Nevertheless, studies show that an intake of up to 40 milligrams a day of soy isoflavones has no adverse effects on male testosterone levels, nor will it increase estrogen levels in men. Few people realize that isoflavones must be activated by intestinal bacteria, which contain enzymes that convert isoflavones into their active forms. Soy isoflavones also have a finite absorption, reached when the ingested dose gets to 0.5 milligrams per kilogram of bodyweight. You absorb 30 to 50 percent of orally ingested isoflavones. . . . OK, each cup of White Wave Soy Milk contains 25-35 milligrams of which one absorbs 7.5 to 17.5 mg. This is prolly a lot less than one gets from a protein shake. A side effect of many of the steroid use and the stuff Mark McGuire used is gynecomastia as well.
Over the last couple of years, I've tried several protein powders. One problem I would encounter with different ones was solubility. I would have to break out the blender, which I didn't really want to do three times a day. Having said that, I began taking Designer Whey Protein. It stirs easily in milk, and gives 35gm's of protein per 2 scoopes. I've had good results with it.
for protein just make sure you get 1 gram of protein for 1 lb of body weight if you are trying to build muscle. you don't need anything special to do it. whey protein is fine. i also eat a lot of tuna fish...lots of protein and low fat. go here...its a great site for info on bodybuilding and building muscle in general http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com
...and a little bit of mercury, too. I used to eat a can of tuna daily until my coworker pointed this out. I cut back to 2 or 3 cans max a week.
