In Bosh's case, his stats are more telling of the Heat's coaching than Bosh's abilities - IMO.

Bosh would be that lengthier stretch 4 indeed.

    You guys are fools.

Bosh is still a fantastic player.

Bosh would be a great addition to the Rockets, but not for max. I am not even convinced he'd be worth $15 million per year for us. Remember that his role will be similarly restricted on a team with Harden and Howard.

if he has to go after listening to LBJ to opt out, that would seriouly piss Lebron off...but if there is any truth to it, lets offer Bosh all the money we have, he fits much better here than Melo.

Bosh's situation on the Heat was similar to Lin in Houston with Harden, LBJ did everything he can do but better. Because of this he got limited to Birdman replacement taking on Cs on defense or he became just another stretch guy alongside Battier and Ray Allen while Wade and LBJ drove inside on offense. Bosh isn't Dirk, 3's are part of his game but really it's not his main thing and since he spent so much time on the outside his rebs dipped as well.

15M for Bosh would be bargain, he's the missing link on both offense and defense for Houston, I'm not even sure why we're wasting time on Me-lo. If you think about it, somebody like Bosh can defend PnR while Dwight anchors the middle, and then on offense he can score from the paint to the 3 pt line and take advantage of any gaps brought on by Harden and Dwight. If we go small ball with Parsons at PF, we can put him at C and run opponents out of the building. He's perfect and would push our roster to the next level.

Well if they do give Bosh that, then we know he's the 2nd option next year. He will earn that contract if he is indeed the 2nd option. He can easily put up 20+ with 14-15 shots a game.

Bosh is a damn good shooter BUT he is soft. If we cannot land Melo/LeBron/Love, I am OK with Bosh at $15 Mil per.

He did average 20+/10+ in his last year in Toronto. He bulked up that year. He has slimmed down considerably in Miami, since he's being asked to play a more perimeter oriented game and guarding pick and rolls.

I don't buy any of this Heat stuff to be honest. They all know how much they're signing for. Lebron tried to F everyone in free agency, making teams spend precious time preparing for him rather than their 3rd and 4th options. Those 3rd and 4th options are the Heat's first options. The Heat obviously see that new contenders can be formed, and they don't want that.

None of them are going anywhere. Bosh will sign for 60/4. Wade 50/4. One or two FA's will share 18/2. Lebron will take the rest over 4 years. As if Wade and Bosh would opt out of their deals without being guaranteed they'll be taken care of?

    Come on.

Bosh certainly has the ability to be a fantastic player. But I've never seen a player more gleeful jump into the backseat.

Now he's got his 2 rings - you seriously think he's going to have the drive and motivation to play harder than he did the last 4 years? He hated pulling the sled in Toronto - that level of effort is never coming back again. Coaster 4 Life.

Dwight is the leader of this team. That is the biggest lesson I learned from the playoffs.

Also, if we snag Bosh for $15mill, we should rejoice

Boy what the hell you smokin? Carmelo is MILES better than Parsons. It's no exaggeration either. We'd improve greatly by adding Carmelo. I think what you wanna say is Bosh is the best fit for our team. I agree. But adding Melo over Parsons is a significant upgrade too

You're agreeing with what he's saying. Either upgrade the team but:

    Carmelo>>parsons
    Bosh>>>>>jones

Bosh would have nice length to defend lma, Blake, duncan, ibaka, etc

I just hope we don't spend 15+ a year on a pf that will not average more than 7 rebounds a game. Seems that money could be spent better elsewhere. Not to mention I could easily see Jones being an 8+ rebounds a game player that is improving, not declining. Same with DMo.

Do you think Bosh can/will average 20/10 again and play hard enough over the long 82 and playoffs to be a 2nd option on a championship level team (even with LeBron as the #1 guy)?

I don't think so. Bosh is a role player now. A great role player. But he doesn't pull the wagon very often; he mostly rides in it.

RIP Toronto Bosh. He died 2-3 years ago.

Bosh is just as good as Carmelo.

Arguably better, because he plays D and isn't a ballhog.
