I see this akin to working in an office, and your manager, during the interview process of a new prospective employee, pointing specifically to your desk and say they'll be sitting there. imo, I can't imagine they didn't realize ahead of time how disrespectful this was going to be. They went all in on the pitch to Melo. Lin is gone regardless.
Well said...most of these people on here talking about how Lin should just "deal with it" would be first ones cussing out their employers and calling their lawyers if the same thing happened to them at their jobs.
Honestly, this is considered classless by the Rockets organisation. It's not least surprising, it's the same situation with Dwight and Asik. But as long as they are improving the team to contend for the title, I really couldn't care less.
No kidding. Did people get this upset when the "Potential Rocket Profile: Carmelo Anthony" was posted? http://rockets.clutchfans.net/7003/carmelo-anthony-7-houston-rockets/
Fact of the matter is the Rockets organization handled this situation as poorly and with as little class as you possibly can. If you're gonna move Lin, fine but do it on the low without practically announcing it to the whole world that his days are numbered here and parading around his possible replacements on billboards. This is extremely humiliating and degrading to Lin who has been nothing but a model employee and teammate since becoming a Rocket. Dude didn't even complain after being benched and played his butt off as a backup this season. He doesn't deserve this treatment.
Are we on the same planet here? This is Carmelo Anthony. This isn't some marginally better player than Lin, this is an allstar. If Carmelo wants Lin's number you give it to him. If Carmelo wants Lin to change his number to 00 then you give it to him. I actually feel where you are coming from with the disrespect part, but they need to swallow their pride and just accept it. If Lin wants superstar level respect them he better step his game up because right now he is looking more like a fringe role player than a sixth man phenom.
Lin thought he was the league's Cinderella but all he is doing now is acting like a bippity boppity b****!
this used to be a proud franchise with a tradition of high character guys, hakeem, yao, mario elie, chuck hayes, scola...now they bring in a bunch of pansies like harden howard and parsons who don't give a damn about sacrificing for one another or winning...good riddance
