This sentiment has been floating around in the media after Kidd's game 1 performance. It's obvious a ludicrous statement. I fully expect Kidd to remain a Net next season but it would be awesome to see the Spurs add him to this team.
That just doesnt make sense to me. The Spurs are one the doorstep of a championship with one of the best young point guards in the league. Tony Parker is only 21 years old, and can only get better with time.
Kidd doesn't suck but his mystique that was built up by the media before the series started was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overhyped. Kidd is a great player, but we had some irrational exuberance with him before this series started. People were making it look like the guy could do anything.
When you could have Parker/Duncan/Brand or Parker/Duncan/O'Neal for the next 5 seasons, it would be a mistake.
Guys, just look at Kidd's performance in game 2. He's about 2 levels above anyone else on the court. He's the best PG in the league right now. If Rox has Kidd, we would win the championship in 2 years. New Jersey nets really well might win the championship this year with Kidd.
Yeah right!! I bet Tim "Choke, Choke" Duncan will hit all of his free throws to win the three games....
He's such a choker that he's far and away the best player on the best team in the league that's about to win a championship.
I agree he is the best player on ONE OF the best teams, fact remains he is a choker as is the entire team. Maybe they win the championship, maybe they don't. There is no disputing they have choked numerous times in the playoffs.
