The thing about pyramids is that, from an architectural standpoint, they make perfect sense. IF you're going to try and build really, really high, based on limited materials, pyramids IS the only real way to go. It's like assuming that because people all over the world practiced some form of burial and/or burning of the dead, there must be some common link. Besides, the time periods aren't all that similar. In order to allow for the Common Culture theory to explain Egyptian and Mezoamerican pyramid building, you'd need to accept that for some reason the builders in the latter didn't start building them for about hundreds and hundreds of years after the Egyptians did. and more importantly, began doing so during a period where we have a record of the history of Egypt. As such, any cataclysmic cause for the spread of culture needs to explain why the American decendants/ifulenced peoples waited for so long before emulating their Egyptian brothers.
There is not necassarily evidence to support the government being involved in the killing itself...there is interesting grounds for conjecture, but not so much proof, but the cover up afterwards would have been nigh on impossible without some governmental involvment. It simply couldn't have gone down the way it did without it. Now the level of that involvment, and whether it was government involvment to cover up government wrongdoing, gvt. involvment to pour water on an otherwise explosive situation, or govt. involvment due to the corruption of govt. figures by, say, the mafia or military industrial complex is another matter.
The Moon landings were they hoaxed? A. These crosshairs are are behind objects which is impossible because the crosshairs are burned into the lense and should appear over every object. B. The grounds roughness instantly changes to smooth in a straight line as if it were a big painting, cut&paste manipulation, or superimposed. C. There is a 'c' on the rock and the clump of soil next to it, just like the way props are identified and placed correctly in movies or t.v. shows. D. All these shadows are going non-parallel which is impossible with only one light source (the sun). E. One of the rocks shadows is OVER the straight line which could only mean there was some sort of wall there. This was the best I could find...NO I don't really believe the Moon landings were hoaxed, but I do believe they altered some of photos to make them look better. My reasoning-- many of the Apollo astronauts stated the biggest problem with operations on the Moon was the lunar dust. Since it was formed from impacts and there is no erotion the dust was very similar to tiny pieces of glass. The dust stuck to everything including camera lenses, if the lense was wiped off the dust scratched the lens and ruined all pictures there after. This of course only includes cameras carried by the astronauts onto the lunar surface.
OK. I'll throw it out there for everyone. It's the friggin aliens!! Are we so dense that we can only believe there is only one planet in the whole universe, however big that may be, that supports intelligent life? What happens if it becomes FACT? A bunch of religions will be scrambling to make sense of it and spin it to fit their doctrine. It's funny how when I ask people who are deeply religious the 'what if' question. Their answer is 'because the bible would tell us.' Really? 2000 years ago the idea of spacemen probably never dawned on the authors of the New Testiment. What the heck is space? Yes, from an architectural standpoint, the Pyramids do make perfect sense. What doesn't make sense though is the rather sudden drive across the globe to build structures as tall as humanly possible. Don't forget there is also evidence of Pyramid building in China, South America, Africa (not including Egypt), and other locations which I need to find more information to support this (i'll get around to it). You have to stretch the time frame during this period as technology developed much slower. Aliens teaching different cultures how to build these structures...No, possible exchange of ideas sooner than currently accepted-- yes, a possibility. Overall though your point is strong and logical.

The Warren Commission was hampered by today's standards, because they did not have sufficient technology available to properly analyze the case. NON-EGYPTIAN PYRAMIDS There are also pyramids in Africa who are not from the Egyptians… 1300 km south of Cairo in Nubia, now Sudan, is a large concentration of pyramids. In the 7th century BC they ruled Egypt for over 100 years. They looked a lot like the Egyptians; they also lived of the Nile and build pyramids! In Nubia they build over 180 pyramids that’s twice as much as the Egyptians build. But there are also differences their pyramids are much steeper and less high. They’re 150 till 300 meters high. ANCIENT PYRAMIDS IN CHINA Hartwig Hausdorf, a researcher in Germany, sent over these photographs from his collection, taken during his 1994 trip to the Forbidden Zone in The Shensi Province in China. Estimates for an age are 4,500 years old, but Hausdorf mentions the diaries of two Australian traders who, in 1912, met an old Buddhist monk who told them these pyramids are mentioned in the 5,000 year old records of his monastery as being "very old." They formed the spiritual center of the Moche Empire, a highly sophisticated yet mysterious culture that pre-dated the Incas by nearly 1000 years. The pyramid known as "the Sun Pyramid" at Teotihuacan in the heart of Mexico has a base side of 738 feet - almost identical to the base of the Great pyramid in Egypt and only 18 feet shorter per side! It is sometimes called "the City of the Gods," or "where men ascended and became Gods". Little is known about the fabulous city of Teotihuacan except that it was constructed around AD100 - 200. Reaching across the Atlantic to the Canary islands, step pyramids are also to be found on the island of Tenerife where the complex known as the Pyramids of Guimar have been investigated by Thor Heyerdahl. The pyramids in Cambodia match a constellation that would have been accurate about 10,000 years ago, but is now upside down because of something with how the orbit of the earth works. After reading up on Jack Ruby the only thing I can come up with is that he was part of a conspiracy---- everything about the JFK assignation screams cover-up and conspiracy. It sure seems like the mob had a hand in the plot as well and Jack Ruby was hired/ forced to kill Oswald. What is most intriguing about the Warren Commission conclusion is that Jack Ruby maintained no underworld contacts at all, a view contradicted by the Select Committee on March 29, 1979, when they reported: "The evidence available to the committee indicated that Ruby was not a "member" of organized crime in Dallas or elsewhere, although it showed that he had a significant number of associations and direct and indirect contacts with underworld figures and a number of whom were connected to the most powerful La Cosa Nostra leaders. Additionally, Ruby had numerous associations with the Dallas criminal element." Even the Select Committee went on record as saying that "Ruby had probably talked by telephone to [Lenny] Patrick during the summer of 1963," and that he had made three trips to Cuba between 1959 and 1963. "The committee developed circumstantial evidence that makes a meeting between Ruby and [South Florida organized crime boss Santos] Trafficante a distinct possibility." The Dallas criminal element was under the heel of New Orleans godfather Carlos Marcello. At the time of the assassination, Ruby was involved in slot machines and bookmaking operations controlled by Marcello, none of which was reported by the Warren Commission. It seems clear that the FBI suppressed evidence of Ruby's connections to leading organized crime figures in Dallas, New Orleans and Chicago. "The [Select] committee believed that Ruby's shooting of Oswald was not a spontaneous act, in that it involved at least some pre-meditation. Similarly, it was less likely Ruby entered the police basement without assistance, even though the assistance may have been provided with no knowledge of Ruby's intentions."
Finally Saddam's secret weapon of mass destruction! The Baghdad Battery Today batteries can be found in any grocery, drug, convenience and department store you come across. Well, here's a battery that's 2,000 years old! Known as the Baghdad Battery, this curiosity was found in the ruins of a Parthian village believed to date back to between 248 B.C. and 226 A.D. The device consists of a 5-1/2-inch high clay vessel inside of which was a copper cylinder held in place by asphalt, and inside of that was an oxidized iron rod. Experts who examined it concluded that the device needed only to be filled with an acid or alkaline liquid to produce an electric charge. It is believed that this ancient battery might have been used for electroplating objects with gold. If so, how was this technology lost... and the battery not rediscovered for another 1,800 years? Can this possibly be true?

Is there anybody else who simply believes? 1. Pyramids existed across the world because it's a more stable geometric figure than a typical, modern 4 sided building? Ancient civilizations would have found it easier. And they mimic natural phenomona associated w/religious experience, like mountains. 2. In response to: Dude, people stopped worrying about the "supernatural" because something real happened. And why on earth would supernatural creatures have such an interest in killing 46 people? Pfft. As far as the whole ancient civilization deal goes, I really wouldn't use the pyramids as a main piece in an argument for that. I'd tend to look more at diffusion of technology and languages across geographically distant and distinct cultures, as well as common myths and religious paradigms and stories. The pyramids would just fit into the theory, that is all. Ohh! I know another one: the Aurora. That one I do believe in. I am almost sure of it...

I firmly believe this plane or something like it exists, its simply the next step from the SR-71 which was developed with technology from the 1950's. Aurora Background Does the United States Air Force or one of America's intelligence agencies have a secret hypersonic aircraft capable of a Mach 6 performance? Continually growing evidence suggests that the answer to this question is yes. Perhaps the most well-known event which provides evidence of such a craft's existence is the sighting of a triangular plane over the North Sea in August 1989 by oil-exploration engineer Chris Gibson. As well as the famous "skyquakes" heard over Los Angeles since the early 1990s, found to be heading for the secret Groom Lake (Area 51) installation in the Nevada desert, numerous other facts provide an understanding of how the aircraft's technology works. Rumored to exist but routinely denied by U.S. officials, the name of this aircraft is Aurora. The outside world uses the name Aurora because a censor's slip let it appear below the SR-71 Blackbird and U-2 in the 1985 Pentagon budget request. Even if this was the actual name of the project, it would have by now been changed after being compromised in such a manner. The plane's real name has been kept a secret along with its existence. This is not unfamiliar though, the F-117a stealth fighter was kept a secret for over ten years after its first pre-production test flight. The project is what is technically known as a Special Access Program (SAP). More often, such projects are referred to as "black programs." So what was the first sign of the existence of such an aircraft? On 6 March 1990, one of the United States Air Force's Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird spyplanes shattered the official air speed record from Los Angeles to Washington's Dulles Airport. There, a brief ceremony marked the end of the SR-71's operational career. Officially, the SR-71 was being retired to save the $200-$300 million a year it cost to operate the fleet. Some reporters were told the plane had been made redundant by sophisticated spy satellites. But there was one problem, the USAF made no opposition towards the plane's retirement, and congressional attempts to revive the program were discouraged. Never in the history of the USAF had a program been closed without opposition. Aurora is the missing factor to the silent closure of the SR-71 program. Testing such a new radical aircraft brings immense costs and inconvenience, not just in the design and development of a prototype aircraft, but also in providing a secret testing place for aircraft that are obviously different from those the public are aware of. Groom Dry Lake, in the Nevada desert, is home to one of America's elite secret proving grounds. Here is Aurora's most likely test location. Comparing today's Groom Lake with images of the base in the 1970s, it is apparent that many of the larger buildings and hangars were added during the following decade. Also, the Groom Lake test facility has a lake-bed runway that is six miles long, twice as long as the longest normal runways in the United States. The reason for such a long runway is simple: the length of a runway is determined either by the distance an aircraft requires to accelerate to flying speed, or the distance that the aircraft needs to decelerate after landing. That distance is proportional to the speed at which lift-off takes place. Usually, very long runways are designed for aircraft with very high minimum flying speeds, and, as is the case at Edwards AFB, these are aircraft that are optimized for very high maximum speeds. Almost 19,000 feet of the runway at Groom Lake is paved for normal operations. Lockheed's Skunk Works, now the Lockheed Advanced Development Company, is the most likely prime contractor for the Aurora aircraft. Throughout the 1980s, financial analysts concluded that Lockheed had been engaged in several large classified projects. However, they weren't able to identify enough of them to account for the company's income. Technically, the Skunk Works has a unique record of managing large, high-risk programs under an incredible unparalleled secrecy. Even with high-risk projects the company has undertaken, Lockheed has a record of providing what it promises to deliver. Hypersonic Speed By 1945, only a small amount of jets had the capability of reaching speeds of 500mph. In 1960, aircraft that could exceed 1,500mph were going into squadron service. Aircraft capable of 2,000mph were under development and supposed to enter service by 1965. This was a four-fold increase in speed in two decades. From this, the next logical step was to achieve hypersonic speed. The definition of hypersonic isn't as clearly defined as supersonic, but aerodynamicists consider that the hypersonic realm starts when the air in front of the vehicle's leading edges "stagnates": a band of air is trapped, unable to flow around the vehicle, and reaches extremely high pressures and temperatures. The edge of the hypersonic regime lies at a speed of roughly one mile per second - 3,600mph or Mach 5.4. What is regarded by many as the most successful experimental aircraft program in USAF history, the X-15 rocketplane was created in response to a requirement issued by NASA (then NACA) for an air-launched manned research vehicle with a maximum speed of more than Mach 6 and a maximum altitude of more than fifty miles. The X-15 program, which involved three test aircraft, went on to exceed all goals set and provided valuable data which has been used on many high speed/altitude aircraft of today, including NASA spacecraft, and most likely, the Aurora aircraft. In the early 1960s, Lockheed and the USAF Flight Dynamics Laboratory began a hypersonic research program which would provide data on travel at hypersonic speed as well as more efficient shapes for hypersonic vehicles. From this program came the FDL-5 research vehicle, which beared an amazing resemblance to the North Sea Aurora sighting of Chris Gibson. Building on both the FDL-5 Project and Aurora, the aircraft which may have been seen over the North Sea could have been Northrop's A-17 stealth attack plane. In August 1914, Professor M.A. Gonzales was excavating Mayan ruins in the city of Acajutla, in Mexico. The two illustrated statuettes were uncovered. On the male, the headdress, the beard, and the cartouche are all typically Egyptian in style. The male is thought to represent Osiris, the female Isis. KingCheetah, I dont know much but from what I have seen there is pyramid symobolgy everywhere.. from the American Dollar bill to this AOL internet service I'm using. To me it's obvious theres people with a lot of power and money who are deep into eastern symbology, especially egyptian symbolgy. But listening to my heart, I say theres something sinister and deceptive going on with that; something false.. its like worshiping false Gods or something. But I dont really know whats going on with all that. btw, have you seen some of the murals at the Denver airport? very strange.
