Hard as you can, but Houston will meet with two castaways (Lowry and Jordan Hill) before Independence Day then go after Kevin love. *excuse the accident submit
before this thread goes in that direction again, your question should probably go in this thread... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=255612
If one of you guys could post a screenshot or link me to the thread/post, it'd be greatly appreciated! Just wanna see for myself.
This makes the most sense to me. Keep in mind the other cast away could be Trevor Ariza, who the rockets have reportedly shown interest in early on in free agency.
So Lowry will be a rocket in the next 3-4 days and the Love trade will be completed after.....If its still there....AWESOME!
I keep thinking about "If you're not first you're last" that Doc keeps referencing in regards to the Kevin Love sweepstakes. The straight forward read is if you're not the first team negotiating with the Wolves, you lose. The optimistic read is that, in this case you'd much rather be the last team that the Wolves negotiate with. Marc Spears just tweeted that GSW won't budge on moving Klay. Maybe the Wolves are ready to move to the next best option.
Exactly. While we can certainly want to get as much talent as possible, you still have to be happy if we can land any of the star players. That alone would be a huge win.
Not singling you out, but I see Parsons being dealt a lot... Why would Parsons willingly go to a horrid franchise like Minny for a few more million when we've likely done a wink wink deal for him to stay and win? I think a lot of plays regarding Parsons is based off the good faith between him and the team.
Maybe, once presented with the opportunity, Parsons would want to lead his own team. There are other 3rd wheels that have taken the same path.
I'm thinking that the two castaways might be Lowry and Ariza, with a plan to make a 3-way trade with Phili to get Love. I have no idea if that would work salary-wise, but I like it!
First of all, it's impossible for the Rockets to concoct a wink-wink deal. Because there's always the possibility of someone coming in with an offer Parsons can't refuse. Second, I responded to a poster who felt Lowry+Love cannot happen because Toronto would say no to S&T. I simply responded by saying this is unnecessary and made up a scenario where we don't need Toronto's cooperation. FWIW, it's possible to create a scenario where we don't trade Parsons to Minnesota too. But I wasn't thinking too hard about that. Just coming up with something plausible while still following the CBA rules. And third, Parsons may simply like money. Al Jefferson went to Charlotte, didn't he?
