adam (la): Who do you think would be a good replacement for kobe in the world championship games?

David Aldridge: (7:19 PM ET ) If Kobe can't play--and he told SportsCenter tonight that he didn't think he would--I really hope the selection committee would consider Steve Francis. He really wants to play and I think he's earned the right to be on the team

I know its nothing but at least someone thinks Steve should be considered for the US team

Haha! Sorry SJC...Happy 4000 Post Day!

Well that was nice of Mr. Aldridge. ;) VERY NICE INDEED!

LOL....AI and Steve together...hmm...HAVOC! Francis wouldn't be too delighted with Larry Brown as his coach. Maybe he could learn some stuff from Brown. Anyways...this is just David's opnion.

Fegwu....that is a very good point. Hopefully Steve DOES NOT get selected! Even though he should be...and this is patriotism. SERVING YOUR COUNTRY PROUDLY. Editting a message is more efficient. ;)

I don't want Steve to go to the Olympics.

We already have Yao there - we do not need another tired Rocket midway thru next season. At least Yao can adjust because he has been there before.

Stu Jackson please give the opportunity to Lebron, Finley or Marbury.

If Nick Collison is there, then LeBron or Carmelo should be able to go too.

If they choose Ugly Peirce over Francis, the world is over. Peirce is so overrated. His game is so ugly!! All those threes jacked up. Gosh Francis better be going to the olympics.

Considering that Brown is the coach and he's stated that both Steve and Cat belong in the olympics i'd say either has a good chance.

Playing for the Rockets can not be compared to representing your country. You don't have that many chances to do so in your lifetime. I am glad and proud that Steve expressed the desire to do so. I hope he will have the chance.

I think David Aldridge would make a good coach for the Rockets. He is a good person and I think he would make a great big man coach for Yao.

Stu Jackson hasn't forgotten how Steve embarrassed him in Vancouver. He will not allow Steve to play.

If Larry Brown says he wants Steve, Steve will be on the team.
