Was thinking about this too...that stuff was in 2008 though. A lot can change in 6 years. Lebron has gone through the scrutiny of "the decision" and Dwight's character has been put through the gauntlet too, but they are both seemingly well-regarded now with limited question about their character and desire to win.
They are two type A personalities...so considering both are legit talkers, they may get under each other's skin...who knows...In the end, if Lebron is convinced...Howard and Harden need to put up and shut up...
I think the doc tweet is this. Minnesota (soda) is trying to get a three-way trade to get Love to Boston (cigar) which by the way is where Love was a few weeks ago. They want us to help facilitate that trade since Boston doesn't have all the pieces they want, but Houston does have some pieces they want. We are focused on Carmelo right now and don't have time for this. There was a rumor that we wanted Rondo at one time and Minnesota is probably wanting Parsons. So essentially we would be trading Parsons for Rondo to get Love to Boston.
Doc said (sarcastic or not) that Minnesota is trading Kevin Love to the team he wants to play for. If Love is so hell-bent on leaving the Timberwolves for a winning situation as being reported then it doesn't make sense to go to Boston without Rondo.
