This. Lin won't be traded any time soon unless Morey is 100% sure he's got at least one of them lined up. And Lin not being traded doesn't tell us anything as the need to trade him will depend heavily on how much money they want, especially if Harden is on the block ($14.7M). All outcomes regarding Lin being on another team or on the Rockets are conceivable. There's a TON of variables still in play.
Means you can have your red neck forum back, it won't worth a dime by then.:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
NO protected pick, houston's pick, 10 million cash, a second rounder, tjones, chandler parsons, and Lin for chips
Redneck? Most of the good posters here are West Asian or Asian. They just didn't appear after Lin started playing Basketball.
I have a feeling Lin is going back to NYK for Melo in a SnT with the picks we have. Lin gives them an icon to put butts in seats as well as picks to start some sort of rebuild.
Who cares how long you've been a fan. I've been a fan since the early 90s when I moved to Houston, before many of you were probably born. I joined this board when the rockets started becoming relevant again. So what. Get over yourself, grow up.
Hopefully Lin won't cost more than our first and a second. He is a 25 year old point guard entering his prime.
I disagree. The real indicator was probably Asik. I think, given how many great point guards are out there (including our own draftees), we take any deal to clear Lin. Asik is the guy who is far harder to replace and addresses our area if greatest need, namely, defense. Thus, seeing him go out tells me that we are in a strong position regarding one of the free agents (Melo is my guess -- I don't thing Bron is leaving) or at least we believe that bluffing hard at one materially improves our chances.
