    Lee and Bass would not have helped the Rockets win a championship last year, or ever. Adding LBJ, or Melo would make the Rockets a real contender. It's absolutely worth the risk, IMO.

    all you guys complaining about harden being traded don't understand the reason why. if he's getting traded for melo, it would obviously be because lebron would only sign here to play with melo rather than harden! it's that simple. while many of us would prefer harden due to his age, melo IMO may even be a better fit potentially with lebron and dwight.

    If it wasn't essentially a done deal with either Lebron or Melo there's no way this deal happens.

    NO gets protection if it is too low, HOU gets protection if it is too high

    This is huge for us for the Love chase if Melo or Bron do not work out. This is a legitimate asset that could put us above GS' offer.

    I get what you're saying, but to me, he was more of a negative with his attitude than any season-long positives he brought. And it's not like things were going to get better. I think you've basically gotten rid of a really good player who wasn't going to be a really good player for you in exchange for the opportunity to make a legit run at an elite player. You have to do that.
