    I just had a gut feeling something was gonna happen today. I have periodically been checking CF throughout the day, and I usually don't do that until a couple days before FA starts.

    There are rumors flying around that the pick is 1-20 protected.
    If so, I guess it was just a straight salary dump.

    So the "chance" at LBJ/Melo > Courtney Lee & Brandon Bass last year? We will see I guess. I think the Rockets weren't that far from a title last year. Just needed a functional PF and a guy like Lee.

    Not really. You've traded Asik, who was basically a nothing for us with Dwight on the team for more cap space to make a run at Lebron/Melo.

    one thing to remember is almost no team in the West is trying to tank next year, so NO still might not make the playoffs and it could end up being a lottery pick

    Actually, I thought he made a pretty big impact coming off the bench. Retaining him was never realistic though, as he wanted a bigger role.

    This team still needs a stretch 4 and a bench in the most desperate way.
