Mavs to acquire Tyson Chandler, Raymond Felton for Jose Calderon, Dalembert & Shane Larkin

Whatever! Chandler should have never left in the first place. Cuban thought Odom would fill in like a fool. Team is too old to make a run now.

 

Calderon is a very very good pg and by far the best player in this trade. I'm givin my props to pj in the NYC front office for getting so much from Cuban.

 

Star players are going to get their buckets. True contending teams don't allow 3rd and 4th options or bench players score season or career highs against them.

 

Folks said the same about Morey before he landed Harden.

Dallas was always in the running and that makes them dangerous. Cuban only has to get lucky ONCE.

Dallas may not be a favorite but don't think for a second that they're not in the mix.

 

Seems that Asik just got a whole lot more attractive to the Knicks; Dalambert would back him up nicely. Lin and Calderon would be a nice backcourt tandem I think, and Lin could help fill the seats and generate some electricity there.

With Chandler gone it seems we might have something Phil would want for Melo.

 

What are the Knicks trying to achieve when they only have the taxpayers' MLE?

If Tyson Chandler is one third of your "big 3", your chances can't be that good.

 

Wow, a surprisingly fantastic move for the Knicks to dump players that weren't helping them go anywhere to get tons of value. Calderon, Dalembert, and Larkin/Ellington are all trade assets to help Phil rebuild the team, AND they got the Mavs' 2 picks in a great draft!?.

What can I say Cuban... somehow you managed to get Morey'd by the Knicks of all teams!

 

This is a really smart move for the Knicks imo.

They are getting rid of contracts fast because they are reading the writing on the wall with Melo.

Amare is off the books next year, now they will only have Jr Smith and Calderon's contract left.

Get really terrible, get a good pick for a year or 2 and have cap space moving forward ready to pounce is the fastest way to turn a franchise around.

Dallas is helping NY keep Carmelo away from Houston... nicely done Cuban, nicely done.

 

I don't like this trade for the Mavs. Chandler is not THAT much better than sammy dalembert, and felton is just a turd.

Shane larkin was an interesting young prospect and they gave up arguably a top 5 pg shooter as well.
