I am not sure that I believe this, but I hope it is true. Van Gundy was my first choice all along.

We need a coach that will take control of this team, and not cower when the star makes demands.

In my opinion, Rudy let Steve have too much control. Moochie's contract and the drafting of Morris are prime examples of Steve's excessive input. Thank goodness Steve was left out of the Yao Ming decision.

I see Steve and Van Gundy knocking heads in the future, with Steve given the ultimatum he deserves- become a good employee and teammate or become trade bait.

All these Rockets need is a true leader who will take charge and make unselfish decisions. Nobody on the roster can fill that job description, so I hope Van Gundy gains control of this group of underachievers.
