Is Jeff Van Gundy Suppose to be that good of a coach? I dont remember him doing much for the Knicks organization??? Just Curious, why the rockets want him so much.....
You mean besides never having a losing record, a .590 winning percentage (6th among active coaches with more than two seasons experience), failing to get out of the first round of the playoffs only once, coaching a team with Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell as it's leading scorers to 48 wins, and coaching the only 8th seeded team to reach the NBA Finals? Nah, can't see why anybody would want him...
The man is a physical specimen..he should really join the Rox in the weight room.. those shoulders are slim pickins!!
I think he should start a rock band.. VAN GUNDY!!! Maybe a logo with a V and a G overlapping with wings?
Actually, the pictures had me wondering: Van Gundy isn't much to look at. Not that he's not attractive (though he's not), but he doesn't really have any presence, no aura of authority; he's a pip-squeek. If he had the physique of an ex-player, was 6'6" and had a large build, would he be more highly-regarded by posters? I know I have trouble believing in him every time I see of picture of him.
whats up with not being able to post up an image? Are you going to take away my right to speak as well?
Let's just say that if there ever comes a time when a movie studio wants to do a film on the life of Jeff Van Gundy, Jon Lovitz will finally have his "role of a lifetime."
Juan Valdez - you touched on something I think is special about Van Gundy. He has a passion and a sort of charisma that belies his physical presence. He demands respect because he's passionate about the game. Maybe players would be doubtful of his expertise or authority initially but he clearly gets respect from players that have worked with him in the past.
I'm sure it has more to do with your own picture-posting competence than it does with what the bbs allows you to do.
