Im not concerned so much about Oswalt as I am with Miller. Oswalt has been battling more than he normally does. But he has been at least keeping us in games. Miller has looked pretty bad at times (save his start against Pitt last week in Houston). Miller's breaking stuff isn't breaking. His pitches are more flat this year. Velocity looks good. I think Miller will come around eventually. Oswalt is right on the cusp of being his dominant self. Looks like he is still trying to work the kinks out of his control
Same thing that I was thinking ballhog. Glad to see him playing better. 1. J Lugo HOU SS 22 65 6 16 3 0 0 2 19 9 12 2 1 .338 .292 .246 2.Everett HOU SS 13 35 6 10 4 1 0 5 16 3 8 3 0 .342 .457 .286 Everett, in nearly half the at bats, already has more doubles, triples, and rbi's than Lugo did.
What is it with our pitchers hurting themselves trying to slide?? No need to go for the double Wizard. Stay at 1st!
I don't have the radio on, only gamecast. I was wondering why he let Oz hit & then Stone came in the next inning and was about to do a 180 & go on a Jimy rant. What happened? Did it look/sound serious? Did you see Miller almost twist his knee off getting back to 1st on a pickoff throw last night? Maybe the pitchers need a tad bit more baserunning practice...
judge and jury??? it's their business, xiki. they have ridiculous signs up over town with "Root for the Good Guys" all over them with Lugo's picture. it's a joke in the public's mind. unfortunately, even if he's found not guilty or the charges are dropped, this kind of thing sticks. he was already a goat...people already booed him. it wouldn't work here. entitled to more? he got $1.5 million..the astros still paid that. he's got all he's entitled to, believe me. the astros don't owe him due process...particularly when they're still paying him.
Looks like he twisted his back. He was trying to stretch a single into a double and it looked like he couldnt decide whether to slide or go in standing up, so once he hit the base, his legs just kind of slid in front of him while his ass came crashing down to the ground. It didn't look like he felt too good afterwards.
it didn't look too bad at all, just really awkward. apparently he has a right groin strain and jim deshaies seems to think that will mean atleast one missed start. hopefully not though. anyways astros win!!!
Unfortunately it is a strained right groin. Those injuries can be very slow to heal. Roy's had a problem with it before.
"Ain't that somethin? I tell ya, she falls down a well, her eyes get crossed. Gets kicked by a mule, they go back to normal. I don't know."
Alright Xiki my man, here's the update: Atl: 20-11 SF: 12-12 Mon: 14-16 ChC: 13-12 Phil: 17-11 Hou: 16-20 Cin: 18-17 LA: 7-12 Stl: 13-19 Make of this what you will. Stros are looking pretty darn good from where I'm sittin'.
