I am tired of all the negative bs on this board. The Rockets will make the playoffs next year. I can't wait to get the new era of Rockets basketball. JVG will make the Rockets a tough defensive team and all the years of watching playoff basketball defense wins championships.

What do you mean "open our new arena to the cameras"? What exactly does that mean? Im actually curious as to what the inside of the arean looks like as of now. Last I seen they were already adding the seats and had the inside already looking like an arena and that was as of March.

I was watching this show I think it was ESPN and I remember them saying that they think JVG does not want to coach cuz he is asking for 7 million a year! and NOBODY is willing to pay that much!
But that might be a negotiating ploy to scare off icky teams. Or now that he knows it's too much, he'll wind up with $5 mil per year.
I guarantee more consistent winning, due to less reliance on the iso, a more creative offense, and a return to defense. All of this is not because of JVG or Dunleavy will coach. It's because Rudy is gone. Improvement (easier wins) by default. This is because dependence on the iso works sometimes. But other nights, if the iso not working, we struggle. So on the nights we struggle, that's when the "TEAM" should carry the load. No the iso. We didn't do that much. At leaset not as a philosophy. We would get into panic mode and start the "iso shuffle."
Hold on people. My original statement was in regards to the results "an expansion team" might expect to have. As far as this club is concerned, I DO predict another lottery season. They may or may not hit .500. 38 wins +/- 4 sounds about right. I have nothing against JVG, just that IMHO he is a step down from RT. If that makes me "anti," then so be it. With the same coach, they might have a shot at the playoffs in '04 - '05, but I am not going out on that limb until at least January
Are they going to have the Arena and Uniforms etc.. on TV? What channel? Is this going to be on a Houston Channel? What time is that going to be on Friday?
