Seems fair to me. I was worried GS could steal Love but this offer would be fair for a fringe top 10 NBA player
They will not be a contender with that roster. Kevin Love and David Lee are very similar especially defensively. Bogut can't stay healthy and neither can Martin now. At best they would be a 4 seed next year.
Very very true. Kevin has had an opportunity to score more in Minny but where has that gotten them? As the best player on a team Love hasn't done ****!
Love is a better player than David Lee, come on. Better rebounder, better shooter, healthier, more efficient on offense. Give me a break.
He is better but not by much. Lee has never had to carry a team like Love and Lee has have Love type games before. Healthy? Give ME a break. Kevin has injuries all the time. For all that Love worship what has he done as the best player on his team? His team sucked.
Appreciate the insight. I'm sure that's what you heard. Having said that....terrible, horrible deal for Minny. 1) No way Minnesota includes a 1st round pick. Makes no sense. 2) Lee has no value other than as an expiring. 3) GSW has no 1st in this draft, and with Love, their 2015 pick will be in the 20s. Boston beats that hands down. In fact, we could probably beat that.
What about Love compared to Lee offensively, and on the boards? Why must you already discredit Bogut and Martin to not play and be injured all of the time? Both Martin and Bogut played about 70 games last season. At best 4th seed? Crazy, IMO top 2 or 3, 4th at worst. Again Curry/Blake Martin/Crawford Iguodala/Barnes Love/Speights Bogut/Oneal AND they have MLE. Team would be a monster.
Klay is a very underrated defender. He gaurded CP3 a fair amount in the playoffs and when he was on him did a pretty good job, imo. Max contract? No way Jose. But I'd much rather have him than Kevin Martin, and I'd probably take him over Chandler Parsons, though more of a race there for sure. But it still seems like a win for the Warriors. Yes, Love is a better version of David Lee. But much better, really. Yes, the Warriors do lose defense and will struggle with cap... and may not win the championship, but that's a damn good team that will knock out other damn good teams in the playoffs regularly, if not making the promise land themselves. I don't know what direction Minnesota goes. A little backwards? Kind of pointless deal really for them.
Yeah, I'm sure Lee has had a few games where he's performed up to Kevin Love's season averages. Love is much better. Love is more efficient despite being a focal point for the other team.
Look will GS. Be good with Love? Yes. If they could keep Klay Thompson and get Love I would be really scared. Klay carried GS at times when Curry wouldn't/couldn't. This would be a lateral move IMHO.

Why in the hell would Minnesota have to give up the 13th pick? That is absurd. Broussard fails again.
