Went there a few times as a young child. My fondest memory was that I got to see K.I.T.T. there one time - I begged & begged to go see it and when I got there, it freaked me out to the point of tears. My mom still brings it up to me ~30 years later...
That "your name in lights" attraction cracks me the hell up. Can you imagine how unimpressed kids today would be by that?
I've lived in Houston for all of my life. I remember Peppermint Park, Games People Play, Astroworld, Waterworld, Malibu Grand Prix on the west loop, etc......but for the life of me, I don't remember this place.
Games People Play was awesome. I remember the very first time I went there was for a birthday party, and I got in trouble because I rammed the birthday boy into the wall during bumper boats and he told his mom on me. I also have no clue what Hanna Barbara World is, but I was born in 1983, so I was probably too young for it when it was around. I had season passes for Splashtown and Astroworld every summer though.
Knight Rider? Its that like a medieval porno or something? Sounds painful, obviously swordplay would be involved...
Long lost brother, is that you? Like 40% of my childhood photos are at this place for some reason. I barely remember anything about it though except for KITT.
This happen to me last night while flipping channels. Landed on VH1, and they were airing I love the 2000s. Made me cry a bit on the inside.
