I voted Melo but if LBJ wants out we aren't his choice we are his only choice.

I'd be happy with Ariza perfect fit for this team. Selective shooting at a high % and excellent defense. I have a feeling he dislikes Houston so I don't think that will happen so Melo it is

Im gonna have to wait until there is a 'Potential Rocket Profile' out for each one of these options before making my pic. Not sure which one looks best in a photoshopped rockets jersey.

I think we will likely get Melo out of those options since he said Rockets is one of his two teams on his wish list. Who knows?

I dislike lebron but it would be foolish not to try to get the best player in the league. We'll prolly end up with Ariza and that isn't bad at all.

But that's the Trevor Ariza contract year illusion. And we def. couldn't add both Lowry and Ariza, and Millsap's not a free agent.

Getting Millsap would have to be through a trade (likely for Asik), but yeah you're probably right about Ariza.

He's a contract year player, too.

I voted Melo. I think Lebron is a longshot, Love is a pipedream. I don't think Rondo is going anywhere and I think Miami will keep the Big 3.

Just based upon reports and logic Melo makes the most sense. But I could completely see us selling Asik and Lin for space and striking completely out on the FA front... You've gotta expect to be disappointed with this crew.

Morey would have miscalculated not picking up Parsons' option if we don't land an star caliber player. Ef Chris Bosh.

Best case scenario is Lebron comes in S&T for Lin/Asik. Parsons is resigned, Spencer Hawes signs for the MLE and we get some nice vets to round out the team (Pierce anyone?)

Worst case, Love goes to GS, Lebron resigns with Miami (as does bosh and Wade and they get Lowry as their PG) and Melo goes to the Bulls where Rose is completely healthy again.
Rockets send Lin and a pick somewhere, Asik gets traded for a 2nd rounder and the Rockets end up with nothing but cap space where they use 1/2 of it to sign Parsons and then strike out on anyone else of value.

My prediction is that somewhere in the middle is what will happen :)

So the odds at Bovada currently have Lebron to Houston at 8-1. I said 10-1 in my original post in this thread, but guess what they opened at today?

    10-1.

Probably nobody. If we succeed in creating cap room, then Carmelo might join us.
