Some people dream about Bar Rafaeli, Carl Herrera Patterson dreams about Harden in another uniform. Still wakes up with morning wood.
Yeah that's my point. Harden is not an issue. If Lebron doesn't come here it would be for reasons like wanting to stick in Miami, wanting to go home to Cleveland or not seeing Houston as a marquee town or something, not because he thought Harden was too ball dominant. It's impossible to assemble a big 3, 4 or anything else without a second ball dominant player. Reports are that Lebron wants to play with Melo. But yeah, he wouldn't play with ball dominant Harden. Give me a break.
The solution to that scenario would be Melo for Asik + Lin + Tjones, then talk to Lebron about a S&T of Lebron for Harden + filler. Melo gets to play with Lebron. Lebron now has rim protection and doesn't have to play with a "ball dominant" guard with defensive effort issues. PBev, Parsons, Lebron, Melo, Dwight is a pretty serious line up.
LBJ may consider Houston if he can convince Morey to fire McHale. He won't come unless Houston has a good chance to win a championship and he knows he needs a better coach than McHale to do that.
You people can keep standing by your man and think that you can change him if only you love him enough. The rest of us see reality and don't assume things will get dramatically better simply because we hope so. It might happen, but it isn't something to count on.
SMH, no he would have to play with a ball dominant SF with defensive effort issues.....Harden is better than Melo in every way when it comes to being a team player. If the fantasy of Lebron not wanting to play with ball dominant guards is true 1. He'd never have wanted to play with Wade 2. One of the last people in the entire world he'd want to play with would be Melo.
It's just odd that you want to ship Harden out for an older, less talented, less team friendly version in Melo. In no way does it make any sense at any level....it's just insanity.
What did I say this? I said Harden for Love and Harden plus others for Lebron and Bosh. You made up Melo. Typical.
Oh, okay, that's actually worse. I'm guessing then you want to play Howard at the 5, Love at the 4, Bosh at the 3 I guess, and Lebron at the 2? This looks like an example of video games killing legitimate conversation.
Sorry, I misread that. Either way, you are hell bent on ditching the best SG in the game and that's just weird.
The difference is that the rumor is that they WANT to play together as RL friends, so if true Lebron is fine with what Melo brings, warts and all. And I do believe that Melo would be willing to defer to Lebron. Lebron is one of the few players on the planet that Melo believes is definitively better and as such I can see Olympic Melo more than ISO Melo. We're operating under the assumption that Lebron and Melo WANT to play together. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be what they want.
Is there anyone in the league Carl wouldn't justify sending Harden to their team for right now? Pretty much every time in the post season a player had a great game, there was within minutes a comparison thread vs. Harden expedited to the GARM for our viewing pleasure. I'm getting really sick of the "You People" statements as well.... as if its a us vs. them argument. No Carl, its your twisted logic vs. common reasoning. EVERYONE knows Hardens faults. You can see them from a mile away. However, MOST PEOPLE still see his strengths.... Carl seems to want to be ignorant of the fact that those strengths are still extremely valuable not only to this team but to the entire NBA, and they are strengths that few NBA players can display on a nightly basis. Trading Harden for anyone not named Lebron or Durant would be the equivalent of trading a late model Camero for a Trans Am which is probably a later year as well. Same features, Horse Power, etc. but potentially more tread on the tires & higher price tag. Unless you are trading up to a Ferrari its just not smart logic.... especially when you consider team chemistry with overhauling an entire basketball roster. Its not that everyone is just obsessed blindly with love & admiration for James Harden... its that trading him makes no F-Ing sense in any scenario I can envision.
If Lebron is determined to play with Melo, then that's how you get Lebron and Melo. Essentially, if you get Melo then you don't have cap space to get Lebron, so the only way you get him is through S&T. Are you going to trade Dwight or Harden? Between the two, if you have Melo and Lebron you trade Harden since you have more than enough offense. You need defense for that line up.
I take the "Lebron determined to play with Melo" about as seriously as I took the "Lebron determined to play in NY" or "No way Dwight leaves the Lakers" rumors.
