When Carl Levin retired from the Senate in 2013 the Michigan Democratic party approached Shane to see if he would be interested in running and at that time he said no. It will be interesting to see now that he isn't playing if he will consider running for office. I'm surprised there aren't more responses to this thread as he was a pretty popular player when he was here. I guess it's been almost 4 years since.
Come on home to Houston Shane. Help coach this team and get another championship where you should have gotten it in the first place
Yeah I think Shane might move into something where he feels like he has more global impact than the NBA. Maybe non-profit work..
Agree about Shane being better suited for the front office. Positive, rational people aren't necessarily the most inspiring coaches. Player: Sometimes I need to get myself psyched up before games to get ready, but then I end up playing out of control and then get down on myself. How can I fix this? Coach Battier: This spreadsheet will solve your problem!
Really? I see him as more that than Derek Fisher or Steve Kerr. TBH if I was a player I'd just sock away enough money to retire and never do any more work than coaching my kids basketball teams. Screw travelling around a bunch for sports or *shudder* being involved in politics.
This guy doesn't have the hard work and dedication to strive. He likes to settle for mediocre, him and Bosh would fit well with the rockets.
^ this. Even if some of these guys save half of their annual earnings every year in the league they're set for life.
