Just a hypothetical question. If Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were available (Free agents) this offseason, would you be happy that Rockets picked up Paul George as their 3rd Star in the team? Or if not, would you rather have Kawhi or Chandler as the glue guy for the Rockets while Rockets look for that 3rd Star (i.e. Carmelo, Love etc..). I assume Chandler and Kawhi values are similar in the market currently.
kawhi is only 22 and is a vastly superior defender. If he was more aggressive offensively he could average 20 a game (although he would be shooting less efficiently than he is now), while parsons is nearly at his peak (which is only slightly better offensively and vastly inferior defensively).
I love parsons...that being said you'd have to be isiah thomas to not trade parsons for george lol and I'd trade parsons for kawhi everytime as well. This thread haha
Because he doesn't have an ego is the reason why he won't be anything special. He's just a solid player. George is a better player than parson, but parsons is a lot better than leonard. Dude scored 9 points in the 1st 2 games of the finals and has a career high and now he's special? Whatever
So,I guess having duncan, parker, manu, and pop doesn't inflate leonard stats. Even before howard, parson was playing well. Y'all wait till duncan leaves and see how splitter and leonard plays.
These threads are getting annoying, for someone who frequents them, these are discussions that we have already discussed. Being something new and interesting pleas.
You're foolish if you don't think duncan has an ego. All great players have an ego and that's why they're great. Duncan may not beat his chest saying I'm the man,but when he was at his peak, he had ego and arrogance.
Leonard is benefiting from the Spurs offense and the fact that he isn't the focal point of the offense on that team. You can't really compare George to either Parsons or Leonard. Try to replace Parsons or Leonard on with George on the Pacers, and would they be a top 2 team in the East or make it to the ECF?
There's a far cry between taking pride in your personal performance, versus creating your entrance smoke cloud from chalk and tattooing your body with "THE CHORSEN ONE". Compared to the absolutely ego-drivenness of the league today, Duncan is as low-key as it gets. Don't know why that needs to be labeled as arrogance when he's about as counter-culture as it gets in today's NBA.
Why is Paul George part of this poll? And who in their right mind would select either Leonard or Parsons over him? May as well add Lebron and Blake Griffin to this poll...I'm sure someone will say they prefer Parsons over those two guys too.
